✨ Who are you?
I’m a CRNA who found my purpose in serving others — first through the military and now through anesthesia. Both paths taught me the power of calm in chaos, teamwork under pressure, and caring for people when they’re most vulnerable.

💫 What makes you uniquely you?
I bring a blend of structure and heart. I thrive in high-stakes environments but never lose sight of the human connection behind every case. My goal is to make each patient feel seen, safe, and cared for — not just treated.

💙 How does your authentic self shape the provider you are?
I lead with empathy and integrity. Staying true to who I am — grounded, steady, and service-minded — allows me to bring comfort and confidence to both patients and my team every day.

Who are you?
My name is Danielle Singer, and I am a proud Navajo soon-to-be Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), born and raised in northern Arizona. I am of the Salt Clan, born for the Water Flows Together Clan; my maternal grandfather is of the Coyote Pass Clan, and my paternal grandfather is of the Red Streaks Running Into Water Clan. I am currently preparing for my NCE boards and plan to begin my practice in the Valley.

What Makes You Uniquely You?
I was raised in a traditional Navajo household that shaped the person I am today. Growing up, I often found myself as the only Native American in the room, which taught me how to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations. These experiences have inspired me to pave new pathways for future Indigenous relatives and to seek opportunities that not only support my own growth but also allow me to give back to my community and my people.

How Does Your Authentic Self Help Shape the Provider That You Are?
As a Diné ‘Asdzáán (Navajo woman), I am fortunate to come from a lineage of traditional healers on both sides of my family. Their teachings have guided me in finding balance between living in a Western society and practicing my traditional Navajo values. Learning to walk in both worlds has taught me to live in hózhó, a state of balance and harmony, and to seek that same sense of beauty and well-being for every patient I care for. This connection allows me to build trust and compassion with patients in their most vulnerable moments, and it continually guides me toward becoming the best anesthesia provider I can be.

Even though we’ve tried to capture the tremendous impact Dr. Lee Ranalli has made on our profession, no words can truly encompass the depth of his influence. Today, we’re honored to share a message from someone who’s witnessed that impact in its most personal form, Dr. Melissa Ranalli, a CRNA he not only mentored, but profoundly shaped both personally and professionally.
Her heartfelt words remind us that Dr. Lee Ranalli’s legacy isn’t just found in classrooms or leadership roles, but in the hearts of those he’s guided, inspired, and believed in. 💙

University of Arizona Nurse Anesthesia residents know how to show up, not just in the OR, but in the community! 💙💪

This weekend, our nurse anesthesia residents proudly volunteered at Bike MS, a powerful fundraiser supporting those living with multiple sclerosis. These NARs were handing out water, snacks, providing first aid and cheering on cyclists every step of the way, they brought energy, compassion, and teamwork to the event.

We’re so proud of their dedication to service, advocacy, and making an impact beyond the classroom and clinicals. 🌟

AZANA proudly celebrates Dr. Lee Ranalli, AANA’s Didactic Instructor of the Year. 🌟

As we honor his many accomplishments, we know that words alone can’t capture the full impact he’s had on our profession. Beyond his excellence in teaching, Dr. Ranalli’s leadership as a past AZANA President helped shape who we are today, inspiring growth, unity, and excellence across Arizona’s CRNA community.
We’ve gathered just a handful of voices here a small glimpse into the countless lives he’s influenced and the lasting mark he continues to make. This is our way of showing deep appreciation for his dedication, mentorship, and vision that continue to elevate our profession.
