Every child deserves to be heard; sometimes, that just looks different 💬

Over the past few weeks, we’ve started something really special at Arbor Therapy, offering AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) evaluations.

We were so moved by Gabriel’s story; how he found his voice on his own terms through AAC. It’s a powerful reminder that communication doesn’t have to look like speech to be meaningful.

AAC can include tools like communication devices, pictures, and apps that help individuals express their thoughts, needs, and personalities in ways that work for them.

At Arbor Therapy, we believe communication is more than speech, it’s connection, independence, and being able to share who you are with the world. And we’re here to support every step of that journey.

We’re excited to share a partnership that will make a meaningful impact for the families we serve!

Arbor Therapy has officially partnered with Parenting Special Kids Network (PSKN), an incredible Arizona nonprofit dedicated to supporting families of children with disabilities.

PSKN provides FREE, one-on-one support by creating individualized plans tailored to each family’s unique needs.

Their services include:

✨ Support with Arizona programs (DDD, AHCCCS, ESA, AzEIP, ALTCS)
✨ Assistance with federal benefits (SSI, DAC, SSDI, Survivor Benefits)
✨ Guidance with long-term planning, housing, employment & transportation
✨ Support with POA, trusts, and future planning
✨ Connections to expert resources (attorneys, former DDD coordinators & more)
✨ Parent-to-parent support groups
