Dr. Brady Pope (who goes by "Dr. Brady) is a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry. He treats his patients' dental health needs with the highest quality and caring they deserve. Dr. Brady is also a father to five wonderful kids, husband to a talented wife, and a third-generation dentist. He grew up in Utah but has spent the past few decades living in Brazil, Connecticut, Tennessee, and Arizona. Few things make him happier than a beautiful scenic hike or exploring a national park with his spouse and children. Dentistry is Dr. Brady’s second love. His first love was academics and he spent a decade studying ancient history, religion, and archaeology—earning a master’s degree from Yale, then a second master’s degree and subsequent Ph.D. candidacy from Vanderbilt. While he was typing his dissertation and having his fourth child, he became a dental assistant to supplement his income. It’s a long and winding story, but to keep it short—he parted ways with academics and ran off with dentistry. He graduated #1 in his dental class for overall clinical achievement and excellency, earning awards in Endodontics and Prosthodontics among others. Patient education and prevention of disease are at the center of Dr. Brady's philosophy of care as a dentist. Given his academic background, he firmly believes in taking the time to listen to and talk to patients, understanding their needs and goals, and then thoroughly educating them about their teeth and gums so that they are empowered to make informed decisions about their own oral health. The best and most affordable form of dentistry is preventative dentistry. Dr. Brady's goal is to help his patients stay out of his chair as much as possible. This is accomplished by utilizing a handful of preventative measures, including regular cleaning visits with our first-rate hygienists. Dr. Brady enjoys what he does, is personable and easy to talk to, and genuinely looks forward to meeting you.
