me is Jared Countess and at the age of 10 I weighed 200lbs and was labeled clinically obese. I struggled with my weight, my self-worth and finding direction almost my entire life. It wasn't until I found a fit and healthy lifestyle that I truly gained self-confidence. When I started to help others find themselves through being physically fit and mentally healthy that I found self-worth. Through my own experience I have learned building self-confidence is not easy. So, one of my passions with my career is assisting others to find their self-worth, confidence and finding their own identity. I find that many simply struggle because they do not know the way, rather than lacking desire or drive. After having my own obese issues, diet issues, social unacceptance and overall appearance and self-confidence issues, fighting is the only option. I have also learned having a great support team around you can increase and fast track this for each client I am privileged to work with. I take pride on the referral business I have built and continue to create through current and past clients. It is human nature to help each other and this is a critical part of my being and my WHY with my business. Helping others whether they deal with extreme cases of obesity, diet, overall health or dealing with professional athletes get to the next level, my goal is my clientโ€™s goal. However, I create the correct and healthy path to improve overall health, fitness and getting them back on the right track and breaking bad habits, bad form and overall years of physical abuse. The fitness industry is full of myths, magical supplements, short cuts, that beat yourself into the ground mentally and emotionally which set you up for FAILURE. I have tried every method and what I have found are short cuts, and promises that again lead to failure. There is no short-cut to success. This is no different when it comes to your health and fitness. Hard work, diet while enjoying and building your confidence will always be more successful than any โ€œmagic pillโ€. The real key to life achieving fitness goals is blending workouts with your diet in the proper way. What I have also discovered through many years and many hours of research is there is no ONE method. Knowing each client, their individual diets, body type, gene, daily routine and overall DNA allows me to set them up for success. When my clients succeed, I succeed. For example, a professional sprinter will have a completely different workout than a marathon runner. Diet, exercise, weights, sleep habits and overall lifestyles will be completely different. Also, believe it or not, men and women are built very different, their hip alignment for example must be recognized and treated individually. As I increase my knowledge and clientele, this allows me to continue to grow in my overall knowledge and education. I pride myself in this continued education and growing my own knowledge as life, technology, medicine and fitness continues to progress. I enjoy the constant challenge of keeping on the cutting edge of fitness and how I can continue to improve for myself and each of my clients. Jared Countess

Y= MX + b; Helped me Solve Chronic Pain ๐Ÿค”?

When I tell people my Background is in Mathematics

They often do not see how it correlates to pain relief and posture correction

Or maybe they have issues correlating that I understand how the 2 mix ๐Ÿค”, but that's neither here nor there.

Y = mx + b or Slope Intercept Form Equation

Is the simplest expression of the relationship between an independent variable X and a dependent variable Y

Variables are just data that changes think money ๐Ÿ˜‰ or in this case tension

Money may "vary" with time & or sales. In that simplified case Y = Money and X = sales over time...

Of course you intuitively know there are way more variables than this that will determine your money outcomes. This is indeed Math and why it exists.

In our case we will let Y = Tension; X = Point in Muscle or Tissue on the Body

Again the math can get tricky as you factor in all the variables, but just like our money case we can see how these are related.

The other factors for Y (Tension) in this case are the *Angle of the Body/Tissue* and whether or not some external forces B has been introduced.

This is how Y = MX + b helped me solve many problems in the body.

And seeing that biomechanics named or expressed many of these variables wrong especially as the math grows in complexity and we seek to solve deeper problems.

How I met July!

I met my client July almost 10yrs ago now. At the time I was new to Arizona and still focused on nutrition coaching, specializing in auto-immune related disorders.

I overheard July and a friend talking about some issues she was having.

Heard what she was saying the Dr.'s were telling her was the only solution.

As I listened to her, I just had to intervene, yes I'm that guy ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜….

I basically interrupted and after a brief explanation I implored that she try a specific diet before going with the Western approach.

Unlike many before she actually listened and it did the work.

I didn't follow up as I was already quite tired of nutrition coaching at the time.

But lo and behold I ran into her almost a year later and she had tried it.

And it worked.

July is a firefighter and aches pains and injuries are in her job description.

Since then I have been her go to for these issues and I thank her for trusting me.

And as I edit My Personal Story...

I am reminded of the goal

Have A Positive Impact! Leave a Positive Imprint

It's what I have truly wanted most, from my life.

And I believe/hope I have done that.

Even if my own life has not always been spectacular,

Stories like July's light up my heart and keep me on mission

Fascia Informs the Brain there's a Problem: The Brain then Signals Work Around

Why Your Body Compensates instead of Corrects

Your Brain Listens to Your Fascia and then Speaks to Your Muscles

What this means is the brain is limited in how it can speak to your muscles.

It must operate within the confines of fascial communication and fascial health

My Fitness Journey

From 8-20 I truly struggled with my weight.

At 8 I was roughly 185lbs

By middle school I was above 200lbs

I entered highschool ~230lbs & left at ~250lbs

I was somewhat athletic playing a sport every season.

Anybody that was athletic and thick understands you almost never fully believe you can look fit and eat like some of your teammates that looked great and ate McDonald's.

You give up on that level of freedom

So to be lean I became a very clean eater

This too became a prison.

In Part 2 learn how I Earned Metabolic Flexibility

Fat Kid to Pure Freedom!
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพโš ๏ธLong Story โš ๏ธ

Discipline was never the problem

Knowledge was

Being a fat kid actually set your genetics in a tough direction

Did you know your body doesn't really create new fat cells after 8 yrs old?

After that cells mostly just grow and shrink and die and are replaced...

Well I was 185lb at 8yrs old. Me and my dad weighed the same ๐Ÿ˜…

I went to highschool weighing 230lbs & graduated just under 250lbs

At the beginning of my journey I decided I wanted to lose weight and if it took starving myself, that's what I'd do...

Done! Lol!

Unfortunately this never quite got me where I wanted to be

One summer in college I ran 3mi to work & 3mi to the gym after work and starved myself. I started getting nose bleeds, but I dropped 30lbs and never regained it.

But I still under ate and could not get abs to save my life!

By the time I joined the Marines I was down to 195

I put myself on fat boy rations in boot

I had read an article about a bodybuilder going keto prepping for a show, it was a huge risk, but he got good results ca. 2007 when Keto was still poorly known. But Atkins was huge, lol.

I would throw away bread on sandwiches and try to keep fruit as my only carb.

I came out of boot a lean 175 and mostly stayed between 175-190 in Corps. But leaner 190.

After the Corps. I kinda fell into fitness as a profession

Never thought to make my passion a career if not for the words of a friend.

I always hated roids, and this is just personal for me.

Anyway that's another subject

The reason I mentioned is I liked bodybuilding but never wanted to be big "enough" to compete. Well luck would have it the year I got out the Corps. Men's Physique was launched.

I loved it for a few yrs until it became apparent I needed to find a natural league or quit.

But before I did I had to give it my all and a primarily keto diet would never let me gain the size I needed to compete.

So I went to IIFYM and I found a healthier metabolism and my first doorway to true food and body freedom.

Still this felt like another trap.

Eventually I graduated to intuitive eating

I believe this is the ultimate goal for all.

And where I lead the willing!

Teaching Pain Relief: The Student, becomes the Master!

My student, my friend, and at times my teacher ๐Ÿ˜‰; explaining to you..

Why we alleviate back pain first by balancing the relationship between the hips and shoulders!

Recently owner of came in town for a 1 on 1 deep dive on R.A.S.

Bruno is a brilliant trainer and quite adept at multiple spheres of training the human body

However...

For all his study he found many of his previous teachers could not explain the depths of WHY, their system works.

Bruno came to me for deeper understanding of joint pain and human movement.

My methods is really just a process of understanding how we can make changes to the human body.

At the end I can say...

Not only did Bruno, walk away with an understanding of my methods, but a better understanding of why the previous methods he learned worked!

He walked away with a deeper understanding of how human move, balance and evolve.

I learned, better ways to explain mechanisms in the human body, new movements and exercises Bruno both came up with and learned from others.

We both walked away better trainers, better teachers and better healers!

If you're interested in my online course or private study with me DM me.

I will offer 1 more In Person study this Summer

And there will be 2 opportunities to do my Online Course

I highly suggest taking Online Course before 3Day In Person intensive.

Is Your Spine an Engine?

Yes and No!!!

The spine converts, redirects and can multiply energy created by your muscles!

If the human body was a car. Your spine would be the crank shaft.

The crank shaft of a car converts energy from the pistons to the drive train!

What's that mean?

It means the pistons or more precisely combustion (mitochondria) firing and moving the pistons creates the energy your body uses for locomotion.

Your Spine transfers this energy and the more it can rotate determines the amount of energy or force that can transfer through your body.

In a later post I will talk about what this means in terms of pain relief, posture correction and why the medical insldustry has back pain all wrong.

Stay Tuned!!!

Your Muscular System is Multiple Fascial Layers Fastened Together

In Anatomy and Physiology we group muscles according to location and a singular function

Biceps (bend arm), Triceps (extend arm), Pecs (adduct arm), Glutes (extend hips), etc...

Your body groups muscles in Units or Fascial Segments

Biceps one works more to aid in internal rotation andnl pairs with pec minor and forearm as an important stabilizer for shoulder (Deep Front Arm line)

The other bicep is used more to help supinate the hand and is paired with different forearm muscles and the Pecs, i.e. palms supinated for pec fly exercise.

These layers are then fastened together at fascial trigger point so that these muscles can couple and transfer the forces or energy they create to other muscles in other fascial systems.

This is key to the R.A.S. System and why trigger points can be used to alter neurokinetic or energy transfer pathways in the body.

If your interested in learning or working with me

Trigger/Pain Points Have Connected Triggers

Rule of 3's: Law of Physics!

This is something I bring up in R.A.S. Course many times

To suspend or support an object in 2Dimensional space you need 3 anchors. In 3D you'd ideally want 6 anchors, **but 3 can hold something pretty steady!**

The last bit becomes important because you're a being trapped in a 3Dimensional Body ๐Ÿ˜Ž.

So My Rule of 3's States...

Dysfunction in humans will consist of...

3 Related Trigger Points that need to be released/loosened

&

3 related triggers that need to be neurologically strengthened
