Are you traveling over Spring Break? ✈️
Here are a few quick tips from our PTs to help you avoid aches and pains while flying!
Choose an aisle seat.
This gives you a little extra leg room and makes it easier to get up and move during the flight.
Get up and move.
Try to stand, walk the aisle, or take a quick trip to the restroom every so often to keep your body from getting stiff.
Pack a healthy snack.
Bring options like a banana, apple, almonds, or a protein bar to avoid the unhealthy cravings that can hit during the flight or right after landing.
Stay hydrated.
Drinking water helps reduce headaches and tight muscles. Try not to skip water just to avoid the restroom, and limit alcohol since it can dehydrate you even more.
Sit with good posture.
Avoid crossing your legs and try to keep both feet flat on the floor to reduce strain on your hips and back.
