This page is a biased look at the Fun to be had at MORA (while still getting important work done). The bias occurs as a result of postings coming from only those things that MOveNG sees or is made aware of, and the need to be HIPAA compliant. Postings and comments from others are highly encouraged and are most welcome, with the understanding that such maintain the purpose of the page and respect to the organization. This page began as a means to highlight the Movement Groups at Mount Olivet Rolling Acres (MORA), run by Claudia R. These therapeutic groups focus on encouraging connection through movement for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Fun with Movement 2.1 evolved from the original movement group that met once or twice a month at one of two Mount Olivet Rolling Acres sites. MORA consumers are invited to come join in movement activity structured around various themes (holidays, seasons, special events). Past years have had over arcing themes such as Traveling the World (complete with stamped pasports), Tasha Tudor's art and stories, and Word Clouds -- to end the group, participants contribute a word or phrase describing some aspect of the group. Fun with Movement 3.0 debuted in September 2014, with Crown College Nursing students who are doing a clinical rotation. Camp McGregor utilizes MORA's land up North MN. For two weeks in Summer, houses are invited to come up to utilize the additional support staff who provide two meals a day (Lunch/Dinner), activities focusing on Camp, Nature, and individual preferences (boating, swimming, fishing). MORA consumer photos require and have guardian permission to be used here. This page is monitored by the MORA HIPAA Compliance Officer. Your viewing of this page supports MORA.
