We are so grateful to be a small part of journeys like Rhyan’s. 💚

Healing goes far beyond the hospital walls. It is built through compassion, connection, and the community that surrounds our survivors every step of the way.

Thank you to the incredible team at James Scott Farrin for sharing her story and for continuing to stand alongside our burn community.

Thank you Rhyan it was wonderful to see you at the run!

We have the privilege of witnessing the impact of compassionate care every single day. From the bedside to the healing journey beyond the hospital, it is the kindness, presence, and dedication of our nurses that help our survivors feel safe, supported, and seen.

Moments like these remind us just how powerful that care truly is.

Please join us in celebrating Hannah on her well-deserved DAISY Award nomination! 🌼

This is what community looks like.

One survivor’s vision. A community that showed up.

We are so grateful for the survivors, families, and staff who came out to support Strides for Survivors, the first teen survivor-led 5k event of its kind. Together, you helped raise funds that will support burn survivors and their ongoing recovery.

Seeing so many people gather around strength, healing, and encouragement is a powerful reminder that no one walks this journey alone.

This picture captured only some of our staff who came out to support. To those who had already crossed the finish line and made their way out before the photo, and to those behind the scenes helping things run smoothly, we saw you.

Thank you for showing up, cheering loud, and being part of this amazing community. 💙

This past week we had the privilege of attending the Fire and Life Safety Education Conference and share about the work we do.
We were also honored to recognize the fire departments and community partners who help make many of our programs possible. Their continued support, compassion, and dedication to the burn community make a lasting impact on the lives of survivors and their families.

We are grateful to stand alongside so many people committed to prevention, education, and healing.

Stella’s “why” is what Strides for Survivors is all about.

Her story reminds us that healing does not happen alone. It happens through community, connection, and people who choose to show up and support one another.

We are so proud of you, Stella, and deeply grateful for your support!

SCAM ALERT: Aftercare staff have been notified of people making calls to solicit funds for Camp Celebrate via a mail-in system only. This is a scam. We are not making these calls, and no one has been authorized to do so on our behalf.

Please speak directly with Aftercare staff or other Burn Program staff that you know & trust, and always verify first if in doubt.

⚖️ Our verdict has been reached: today was awesome!
We are incredibly thankful to the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin for generously providing lunch for our Burn Center team in honor of National Burn Awareness Week. They also took the time to tour the Burn Center, learn more about the care we provide, and ask thoughtful questions about additional ways to support our programs. We are so grateful to have partners who show up for our patients, families, and staff. 💙

We are incredibly thankful for a holiday season overflowing with generosity and giving. ❤️ To ALL our supporters throughout the year — we truly could not serve the burn community without you.

A special highlight with photos of just some of the amazing donations that made their way to the hospital over the past few weeks:

• Rockingham County Fire Department / Firefighters Burned Children Fund — they rolled in with a huge trailer packed full of gifts! (Also check out their post: Https://www.facebook.com/share/v/175PJRxA2D/)

• Lee County Firefighters Burned Children Fund — celebrating their 30th donation visit, plus hosting a beautiful luncheon for staff, patients, and families.

• North Chatham Volunteer Fire Department — making Christmas possible for one pediatric family.

• Orange Grove Volunteer Fire Company — and thank you for the bonus tour of your space for visiting staff.

• Drewry Volunteer Fire Department — delivering an entire pallet of items, from stocking stuffers to cozy pajamas and gift cards.

And to everyone who shipped items from our wish list — your kindness will make a meaningful difference for patients and their loved ones, both now and throughout the year.

Happy Holidays to all. May you be as blessed as you have been a blessing to the burn community. 🎄✨
