We are excited to share that KidSCope is now officially a Family Resource Center.
This milestone is made possible thanks to the support and partnership of (PCANC). With their encouragement and belief in our work, we were able to install our children’s teaching garden where we are growing organic herbs and vegetables, and launch our community fridge that we stock weekly with organic produce and essential staples for families.
Last month, PCANC also recommended KidSCope to Congresswoman Valerie Foushee’s office, and we had the honor of welcoming the Congresswoman to our Chapel Hill location, KidSCope Village. She spent time learning about our programs and seeing firsthand how families are supported through care that centers dignity, access, and well-being.
At KidSCope, we believe children thrive when their basic needs are met and when they are surrounded by a healthy, supportive ecosystem. Alongside evidence-based therapies, we are grateful to offer additional supports like nature therapy, mindfulness, and food access. All of these elements work together to nurture emotional wellness for children and families.
We are deeply grateful to PCANC for walking alongside us and for their leadership in strengthening Family Resource Centers across North Carolina. This recognition affirms what we have always known. When families are supported holistically, children can truly flourish.
