As part of our Joys of Learning series, we had the privilege of hosting a fascinating sit-down with two remarkable former running mates. Their conversation on politics—then and now—offered insight, reflection, and plenty of thought-provoking moments.
A heartfelt thank-you to William Cobey and David Price for sharing their wisdom, experiences, and spirited discussion. What a gift to learn from leaders who’ve lived the North Carolina history we study.

Spirits were high and the costumes were frightfully fun at this year’s Frights & Bites Halloween Party! 👻🕸️ Members and guests enjoyed great food, creative costumes, and a night full of laughter.

🎱 The Cedars Hot Pockets billiards group held an exciting in-house Double Elimination tournament this October! Nine Members competed, each needing two out of three wins to take a match — and elimination came only after two losses.

Congratulations to Ken Woodard, who captured the title with five match wins and only one loss against tough competition! 👏

The billiards room is always open for Members to enjoy practice and pickup games. Come join the fun!
