Carolina Meadows is an accredited not-for-profit continuing care retirement community just five miles from downtown Chapel Hill. The 166-acres campus boasts private homes and apartments with shared spaces that include a state of the art wellness center, indoor pool, dining venues, a nine-hole golf course, tennis courts and much more. Residents enjoy access to experienced healthcare professionals in our established on-campus medical clinic. In addition, Residents can access additional levels of care such as assisted living and skilled nursing should they require it in the future.

Our annual tree lighting felt extra special as we celebrated not only the start of the season, but also 40 remarkable years of our community.

In honor of this milestone, our tree glowed in a beautiful ruby theme—a nod to the traditional 40th anniversary gemstone and a symbol of the warmth, vibrancy, and resilience that define Carolina Meadows. We wish you a happy holiday season!

Thankfulness
As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to express my appreciation for your contributions that make Carolina Meadows the community it is. To our residents, thank you for the trust you place in us, the warmth you bring to daily life here, and the way you contribute to a culture that is engaged, welcoming, and connected. Your presence is the foundation of this community.

And to our staff, thank you for the commitment and compassion you bring to your work every day. You support our residents and one another with a steadiness that reflects the best of who we are. You show up with reliability—on the ordinary days and on the harder ones, including the holidays—and that consistency is what allows Carolina Meadows to function with the quality and care that people count on.

Together, our residents and staff make Carolina Meadows feel like a family. I am grateful that our community is such a great place to live and work.

Celebrating 40 Years of Carolina Meadows! 🌿✨
Our 40th Anniversary celebration was one to remember — filled with heartfelt reflections from residents and staff, a pictorial timeline of our history, and cake and champagne for all. A highlight of the afternoon was a touching song by a 96-year-old resident performing for the first time! 🎶

We also sealed a time capsule for future generations — a beautiful reminder of our enduring spirit of friendship, purpose, and belonging. 💛
