CEUs at ClearWind!!
ClearWind Farm was excited to host Cox Counseling Services’very first continuing education course, a hands-on introduction to the benefits of equine-assisted psychotherapy and the healing power of horses. This program provides 2.0 ASWB-accredited CEU credits to mental health therapists and will be offered at various times throughout the year. It is the only such program (that we are aware of) in the Triangle. Special thanks to Bibi Thomas, Emily McClure, Johnny, Katy, Bud, and Blue for their help and expertise in making this event special for all involved. No, that’s not snow in the indoor arena: it’s magnesium chloride flakes! They help control dust and keep the footing from freezing in the winter. Matt, JJ and James spread the flakes by hand before working them into the sand with the drag. This team, along with Barb, keeps the grounds in shape, providing the foundation for the safety and beauty that make ClearWind such an oasis for healing.

ClearWind was excited to host an equine assisted psychotherapy workshop with a curious and courageous group of UNC Social Work students this past weekend. Guided by Amber Cox, Maria Roach and Bibi Thomas, the students were able to touch the power of experiential therapy with horses (specifically, Blue, Muffin and Katlyn). We are proud of our on-going relationship with the Social Work school, and have several more workshops lined up in 2026!

ClearWind is rocking this weekend! Wildside Farm Festival from 12-5, Peace Reins equine sessions with veterans, yoga with Rebecca Drake, and tomorrow Amber, Maria and Bibi are hosting an equine assisted psychotherapy workshop for a group of UNC Social Work students. This is the vision Suzanne and Matt had for this beautiful land, and we are so thrilled to see it all come together. Thanks to all of you for making these days happen!

It was such a wonderful weekend at the farm. Nourishing Flow with Rebecca Drake-Pelli, Yummy Restorative Yoga with Ruth Newnam, and a wonderful equine assisted learning group.
