Some of you have seen posts on my other social media accounts, thank you so much for your support.

I'm happy to announce that I'm now treating at Acupuncture Healing Center in Chapel Hill, NC.

Conditions I'm treating:

-Bell's Palsy
-Insomnia
-Post surgery fatigue
-Anxiety / depression
-Low back pain
-Histamine / hive reaction

Acupuncture helps support the body in many ways. I love treating people that are new to the medicine with gentle needling and explanation of this wonderful medicine.

Drop by and see me if you're in the area!

This morning my smoke detector chirped when I woke up. It seemed quiet and I almost didn't hear it. Within an hour, it started chirping every 10 or so minutes with a screech that rattled me to my core. Okay, okay, I'm exaggerating but we all know how shrill those chirps can be!

This is a great metaphor for our well-being and our physical health. What can start as something small and in the back of your mind to get checked out or worked on can turn into a full blown medical crisis quickly.

Acupuncture is a great tool for helping support the body and mind and for preventative care. To help alleviate those small, nagging symptoms before they turn into something serious.

Did you know acupuncturists attend a Master's level program that in most cases are 4 years in length and have Western biomedical knowledge to recognize red flags?

Give acupuncture a try, and don't ignore your body's warning chirps!

Water IS the ultimate. Be sure to avoid cold or iced water, especially in cooler months. Your body has to use energy to heat up cold or raw food and drink. If you are experiencing stress, this is especially taxing on your digestive system.

A warm cup of water to start your day is a nice way to gently wake your body and break the water fast from sleep.

It’s difficult to get out of the loop of comparison. I have certainly fallen victim to it.

Taking social media breaks, getting some time outdoors, cultivating close friendships and exploring your curiosities are great tools for relieving the comparison cycle.

Comparing yourself to others can be a very toxic thing to do, however, a lot of us do it, maybe without even realizing it.

If you are constantly focusing on what others are doing and achieving, and then comparing that to your own actions and achievements, you may start to feel negative and jealous, which is never a good feeling. Most of the time, comparing yourself can bring negativity and a lack of self-esteem, and it’s never a productive or positive thing; it never adds to your life. Consider taking a break from the apps that don’t enhance your emotional life. Or take a day off social media. Notice if that makes a difference. When you stop comparing yourself to others, that will help you to lead a more positive, confident, and happy life. “Comparison is the thief of joy.” — Theodore Roosevelt

Grieving can be a long process and at times, people may say the wrong thing, with the best of intentions. We all grieve differently so what may be helpful to one individual may not work for another.

I find in our busy culture, we often want to rush over painful feelings. I saw this post on the My Grief Connection page, which gives tips on how to communicate where you are at in your grieving process. Give them a follow for ideas on how to support yourself or loved ones who are grieving.

I love this sentiment. Loving your inner child also means recognizing what your inner child needs in order to feel safe and grounded. Staying grounded in times of turmoil is a strategy that not only helps with positive mental well being but can also positively affect the physical body. 🥰

Immune Boost Qigong routines stimulate the function of the Lungs and activate the Yang Qi in order to circulate the Wei Qi (defensive Qi). Performing these s...
