Thrive Acupuncture

Thrive Acupuncture Thrive Acupuncture is a full service holistic healthcare clinic specializing in chronic pain, women? Janna Siegel, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.

Thrive Acupuncture is the manifestation of an exploration of the benefits of feeling good. Be it physical or emotional, our happiness is compromised when we experience pain or discomfort. From your first consultation, we will work together to identify the areas of your health you seek to change and the origin of these imbalances. Drawing from Chinese medicine and other Eastern holistic medicinal therapies, including acupuncture, herbal formulas, nutritional counseling, bodywork, and yoga, we will address these concerns, restoring the body to it’s optimal state of wellness and working to maintain this equilibrium long after your treatments are complete. At Thrive Acupuncture, the emphasis is on the individual, with focus on creating lasting change from the inside out. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all health care, nor do I believe that physical health is separate from mental health. I do believe that real change requires adaptability and commitment, and addressing problems at the root will heed the best results. As the body transforms, so do the healing techniques I apply. My goal as a practitioner is to give you the most comprehensive care possible, working within the realistic parameters of your lifestyle and my abilities. If your curiosity is piqued, take the first step and schedule your appointment today. I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of New York, a certified diplomate with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and hold a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. My training includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, tuina (therapeutic body work), Eastern nutrition, and various other complimentary healing modalities. I have undergone two separate certifications for sexual assault and violence intervention counseling. I am also a 500-hour certified, registered yoga teacher. Using traditional Chinese medicine as the foundation, I draw from my multi-disciplinary background to address the specific needs of each patient and provide a holistic and comprehensive treatment plan focusing on long-term health goals.

Today is the winter solstice, the shortest, most yin day of the year. This is a time to slow down, go inward and embrace the quiet. A time to listen to the wisdom of your internal voice, that all knowing speaker of truth that has all the answers that you seek. The darkness invites us to sit in stillness, in softness, in a blanket of what is, so that we can discover who we are at our core, our most stripped down, and in that clarified state, remember who we are meant to be.
If you are feeling the weight of the darkness, remember that we are on the precipice of the pivot to the six month cycle of increasing yang energy and light. So find some surrender, groove to the rhythm of nature's perfect dance, and take comfort in the certainty, the reliable constant of inevitable change.

There was a time in my career when I was offering perimenopause support without fully understanding the extent of changes that can occur. Having been thru the fire (pun intended) and feeling as if I was navigating alone in the dark; paired with years of deep dive research and resource compilation; I now have a much better understanding of the big picture.
How that translates is I can better treat the symptoms that are affecting you, direct you to the best resources so you can tune out the noise and become informed of your options, and provide referrals for other practitioners, including western medical doctors who can provide you solid information on your options when it comes to hormone therapy. As with all things TCM, we offer custom care for the individual and will always work with your other providers so that collaboratively we can help you feel your best. Sounds like a bingo to me.
