Thrive Acupuncture

Thrive Acupuncture Thrive Acupuncture is a full service holistic healthcare clinic specializing in chronic pain, women? Janna Siegel, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.

Thrive Acupuncture is the manifestation of an exploration of the benefits of feeling good. Be it physical or emotional, our happiness is compromised when we experience pain or discomfort. From your first consultation, we will work together to identify the areas of your health you seek to change and the origin of these imbalances. Drawing from Chinese medicine and other Eastern holistic medicinal therapies, including acupuncture, herbal formulas, nutritional counseling, bodywork, and yoga, we will address these concerns, restoring the body to it’s optimal state of wellness and working to maintain this equilibrium long after your treatments are complete. At Thrive Acupuncture, the emphasis is on the individual, with focus on creating lasting change from the inside out. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all health care, nor do I believe that physical health is separate from mental health. I do believe that real change requires adaptability and commitment, and addressing problems at the root will heed the best results. As the body transforms, so do the healing techniques I apply. My goal as a practitioner is to give you the most comprehensive care possible, working within the realistic parameters of your lifestyle and my abilities. If your curiosity is piqued, take the first step and schedule your appointment today. I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of New York, a certified diplomate with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and hold a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. My training includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, tuina (therapeutic body work), Eastern nutrition, and various other complimentary healing modalities. I have undergone two separate certifications for sexual assault and violence intervention counseling. I am also a 500-hour certified, registered yoga teacher. Using traditional Chinese medicine as the foundation, I draw from my multi-disciplinary background to address the specific needs of each patient and provide a holistic and comprehensive treatment plan focusing on long-term health goals.

Why? Because unlike a pain pill, we are addressing the underlying issue - not just the manifestation - eliminating it at its source and allowing you to better deal with pressures that come your way without such a strong physical reaction.

Fall back. I don't know about you, but this one is tough for me.
The ability to keep going at the pace we're accustomed to when our environment is asking us to wind down early and retreat to our nests does not even occur to most of us, who's schedules do not end when the sun goes down. However, as we downshift to the softer, darker, colder yin seasons of fall & winter, we lose the charge of the sunshine, the longer days, nature's active energy and have to pull from our internal resources to keep up. If we do this without pause & replenishment, it results in fatigue, insomnia and burnout at best.
So what do we do? Watch what the animals do, the trees, the plants. They do not fight the seasonal shifts. They become one with the environmental shifts, rolling with the tide instead of swimming against it.
It is shocking how much our bodies have to tell us when we slow down and listen. The time for this is now. Fall softly my friends, into a nest of your own making. And enjoy the reflections that come to surface as we see what the darkness has to teach us.

That is the question I asked myself when I built my first clinic. And my second. And it's the question I continue to ask myself as our community grows and the clinic evolves.
So I'm asking you. Shoot for the moon! What would make a visit with us the best it could possibly be for you?

If you feel tired after your acupuncture treatment, it's because you're tired. The treatment very well might shine a light on this fact. Think of it as your body asking you for what you need in order to repair and heal. For many of us that is rest - something we don't want to deny ourselves for any extended period of time.
