Thrive Acupuncture

Thrive Acupuncture Thrive Acupuncture is a full service holistic healthcare clinic specializing in chronic pain, women? Janna Siegel, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.

Thrive Acupuncture is the manifestation of an exploration of the benefits of feeling good. Be it physical or emotional, our happiness is compromised when we experience pain or discomfort. From your first consultation, we will work together to identify the areas of your health you seek to change and the origin of these imbalances. Drawing from Chinese medicine and other Eastern holistic medicinal therapies, including acupuncture, herbal formulas, nutritional counseling, bodywork, and yoga, we will address these concerns, restoring the body to it’s optimal state of wellness and working to maintain this equilibrium long after your treatments are complete. At Thrive Acupuncture, the emphasis is on the individual, with focus on creating lasting change from the inside out. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all health care, nor do I believe that physical health is separate from mental health. I do believe that real change requires adaptability and commitment, and addressing problems at the root will heed the best results. As the body transforms, so do the healing techniques I apply. My goal as a practitioner is to give you the most comprehensive care possible, working within the realistic parameters of your lifestyle and my abilities. If your curiosity is piqued, take the first step and schedule your appointment today. I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of New York, a certified diplomate with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and hold a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. My training includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, tuina (therapeutic body work), Eastern nutrition, and various other complimentary healing modalities. I have undergone two separate certifications for sexual assault and violence intervention counseling. I am also a 500-hour certified, registered yoga teacher. Using traditional Chinese medicine as the foundation, I draw from my multi-disciplinary background to address the specific needs of each patient and provide a holistic and comprehensive treatment plan focusing on long-term health goals.

This is why we take the time to listen. Not just to your symptoms but to your story. To what got you here. Your obstacles. What you've overcome. Your fears. Your hopes. It is all a part of the healing and we strive to make sure you are heard. You are seen. And you are a partner in how we move forward.

We've been seeing a lot of this at the clinic lately. TMJ, clicking, popping, pain, inability to open your mouth all the way. Acupuncture is an effective and lasting treatment for jaw pain. We'd love to help!

All that "new you-ing" got you feeling run down? There's a reason for that. In TCM winter is the season of rest, reflection and slowing down. If we take a cue from nature, this is a time to nest, not overexert. What if you try for a week to go to bed one hour earlier? Just to see how it feels? Sometimes there is power in rest.
If your energy dip is beyond a seasonal slump and something more chronic, autoimmune-related, hormonal, acupuncture just might be the resolution solution you've been looking for.

The spirit of winter, known as zhi, is loosely defined as will. The yang side of this can be likened to will power, or action taken. The yin aspect is related to destiny, or who we are meant to be. So the actions we take, when in alignment, should be bringing us closer to the truth of who we are and why we are here.
❄️ πŸ’«
This will not happen when we act out of fear or desperation or attempt to force something that does not align with who we are. That is why winter is also the time of year thought of as the death of a cycle - a time to stop doing and to rather observe, take inventory, and reflect on where we are vs where our hearts are asking us to be.
❄️ πŸ’«
When our actions reflect our truth there is ease, flow and a sense of purpose to how we move through each day. If you are too tired, burnt out, or overwhelmed to discern what is genuinely worthy of your efforts, come in, lie down, and let us guide you toward that calm, soft inner space where truth and healing reside.
