Thrive Acupuncture

Thrive Acupuncture Thrive Acupuncture is a full service holistic healthcare clinic specializing in chronic pain, women? Janna Siegel, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.

Thrive Acupuncture is the manifestation of an exploration of the benefits of feeling good. Be it physical or emotional, our happiness is compromised when we experience pain or discomfort. From your first consultation, we will work together to identify the areas of your health you seek to change and the origin of these imbalances. Drawing from Chinese medicine and other Eastern holistic medicinal therapies, including acupuncture, herbal formulas, nutritional counseling, bodywork, and yoga, we will address these concerns, restoring the body to it’s optimal state of wellness and working to maintain this equilibrium long after your treatments are complete. At Thrive Acupuncture, the emphasis is on the individual, with focus on creating lasting change from the inside out. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all health care, nor do I believe that physical health is separate from mental health. I do believe that real change requires adaptability and commitment, and addressing problems at the root will heed the best results. As the body transforms, so do the healing techniques I apply. My goal as a practitioner is to give you the most comprehensive care possible, working within the realistic parameters of your lifestyle and my abilities. If your curiosity is piqued, take the first step and schedule your appointment today. I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of New York, a certified diplomate with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and hold a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. My training includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, tuina (therapeutic body work), Eastern nutrition, and various other complimentary healing modalities. I have undergone two separate certifications for sexual assault and violence intervention counseling. I am also a 500-hour certified, registered yoga teacher. Using traditional Chinese medicine as the foundation, I draw from my multi-disciplinary background to address the specific needs of each patient and provide a holistic and comprehensive treatment plan focusing on long-term health goals.

Time is something I value tremendously and I do not take for granted the time that you reserve for your acupuncture care. As such, I do my best to stay on time, to get you out on time, and to communicate with you about not just the length of your appointments on any given day, but what you can expect in terms of duration for your total care plan.
I have also worked over the years to become efficient at reading the cues that your body presents and providing targeted and cohesive treatment that moves in step with how your body is healing.
At Thrive treatment is roughly 45 minutes from the moment you step in the door until the moment that you leave. The majority of that time is spent in a quiet, serene, private room, taking a sweet acu nap while the healing happens for you.
If there are days you're pressed - we work with you. If there are days you're late - we work with you. If there are days you're so overwhelmed you can't even speak - we work with you.
We are conveniently located right in the heart of town so that you can weave your appointments in with your errands, school drop-off/pick up, lunch dates with friends, train schedules, shopping, and all the things.
After all, our job is to improve your quality of life in every way we can.

🐎πŸ”₯ Today begins the Year of the Yang Fire Horse πŸ”₯🐎
Fire governs the Heart, joy, and emotional expression. When balanced, it represents vitality and inspiration. But uncontrolled it can lead to stress, burnout and agitation. Horse energy brings speed and forward motion, allowing us to unleash our creativity and release whatever has been keeping us stuck.
The last Fire Horse year was 1966, a time of major cultural change and social movement. While the 'what' may change, the energy remains the same, with rapid shifts to be expected.
Major themes of this year include:
✨ Swift change
✨ Emotional intensity
✨ Creativity and bold action
✨ Truth coming to the surface
Health patterns that may crop up include:
🌱 Sleep disruption
🌱 Anxiety or restlessness
🌱 Inflammation
🌱 Nervous system overload
As such, it is crucial that we pace ourselves and put anchors in place to keep us grounded.
With balance & boundaries, our ability to transform during this potent period of time is limitless. Wishing you renewed vitality, clarity, and heart-centered momentum this Lunar New Year ✨

My friends, I will not bombard you further by listing all the things. Instead I would like to offer you a space where you can put it all down, close your eyes and power down as we gently guide your body to a place of deep rest and repair. With no effort on your part but to show up and let go. Valentines are cute. But this is real self love.
