Keep Tues May 12, 2026 at 7pm open on your calendars. Editor of the National Genealogical Society Magazine, Sunny Morton, will present our IN PERSON program, "Tell Ancestral Stories that their Descendants will Love" Whether writing about newly arrived immigrants or fifth generation American farmers, go from boring to engaging with a few tweaks. She is sure to have a few great pointers!!

Registration is required. Social gathering at 6:30pm, brief business meeting at 7:00pm with Sunny's program to follow.

Remember, you do not have to be a member to enjoy these programs!

I want to thank Gary Hunter, Executive Director Ohio US Route 6 Tourist Association, for an amazing program, on Tues April 14, 2026, on Historic Route 6 that goes from Provincetown MA THROUGH Geauga County, to Long Beach CA. Who knew this route was 3,652 miles long??

This program is a part of the monthly Ohio 250th Commission themes celebrating our nation's 250th anniversary: Ohio Moves Transportation.
Gary will present "America’s Roadway to Adventure: Getting There on RT 6"
RT 6, also known as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway, is the longest, oldest and highest transcontinental highway in the US. It stretches 3,652 miles, from Provincetown, MA through Geauga County, OH to Long Beach, CA. Learn it’s history and Geauga County landmarks.
Social time begins at 6:30pm. Brief business meeting at 7:00pm with the program to follow.

Hello Everyone!
We are just 2 weeks away from our March 10, 2026 program: MyHeritage Library Version and MyHeritage.com: Finding Your Old and New World Roots. with Daniel Horowitz.

Daniel is the public face of MyHeritage and he will demonstrate finding ancestral records, using MyHeritage Library Edition’s super search engine. He will also entertain us with advanced features of the subscription website, like animating ancestral photos! MyHeritage Library Version is free to patrons of Geauga Co Public Library.

Alan Jones, retired computer software engineer, began genealogy research with a hand-cranked microfilm reader. Now, he tests new FamilySearch features and genealogy software programs, indexes records and volunteers at the Kirtland Family Search Center.

There will be a short business meeting at 7:00pm with the program to follow. Sign in will begin at 6:45pm.
