Congratulations Dumpster Bandit! 🎉
The City of Chardon is pleased to announce that beginning Tuesday, June 2, 2026, Dumpster Bandit LLC will take over as the new waste hauler. Dumpster Bandit is a locally owned Chardon company. This change comes after a competitive bidding process that received strong participation and close pricing proposals. Dumpster Bandit emerged as the lowest bidder, offering significant savings for city residents.
💵Under the new contract, residents will will receive a fixed rate of $18.01/month for the five-year contract term for both trash and recycling. Residents choosing trash-only service will be $13.92/month. Bag service will be available for purchase at the Dumpster Bandit office located at: 12488 GAR Hwy, Chardon. Seniors will continue to receive a 10% discount. Existing discounts will automatically transfer. New applicants can apply through the City Manager's Office.
📅Pick-up day will remain weekly on Tuesdays; and bi-weekly for recycling.
🗑️Dumpster Bandit trash bins will arrive the week of May 18th. Recycling bins the week of May 25th. Waste Management bins will be collected the week of May 25th.
💻To set up the new account, residents will receive a paper mailer with set-up instructions. Residents will receive paper bills by default until an account is set-up and preferences changed. Residents will have the option to pay monthly, quarterly or pre-pay for the entire year.
