Due to the incoming winter storm and for the safety of our patients and staff, LCHC Medical Clinic will be closed on Saturday, November 29th.

As always, our emergency room is available for those who need immediate medical attention.

We’re officially in Iowa’s respiratory illness season, when cases of flu, RSV, COVID-19, and strep often rise. Follow along each week as we share our latest positivity rates to help our community stay informed and prepared.

This week at LCHC, COVID-19 activity is holding at a moderate level with a 6% positivity rate, while Strep cases remain high at 26%. Influenza activity is very low — with 0 cases of Influenza A and just 1 case of Influenza B — and we’re still seeing no RSV infections in our clinic.

Please remember that these numbers reflect positivity rates based solely on the tests performed in our clinic. They may not fully represent what’s circulating in the community, as many illnesses go untested or are seen in other settings.

As we head into the holiday season, please take extra care to protect yourself and others—wash your hands often, stay home if you’re sick, and stay up to date on your vaccinations.
