Before the full calendars, the packed events, and the shelves that need constant restocking—there was just a dream. A small idea, built on a love for books, for children, and for the quiet magic found in turning pages together.

We remember where we started. The early mornings, the late nights, the wondering if anyone would show up… and then they did. You did. And little by little, this became something more than we ever imagined.

As things grow busier, we hold onto that beginning. Because every step—every event, every bundle, every tiny hand reaching for a book—has mattered.

Meet Flora the Flamingo — and yes, she’s every bit as sweet as she looks. 🦩✨

Our flamingos have been an absolute hit at our recent markets, and it’s easy to see why. Soft, snuggly, and made for little hands to love, Flora has quickly become a favorite companion for storytime cuddles and cozy adventures alike.

“I hate reading.”
Ah yes… the four words that strike fear into every book-loving parent’s heart 😅

But here’s the thing—kids don’t actually hate reading.
They hate how it feels sometimes.

Too hard.
Too slow.
Too frustrating.

And that’s where the magic shifts ✨

Instead of pushing through, we pivot:
→ We talk about the pictures (hello, comprehension skills 👀)
→ We listen to stories (still building vocabulary!)
→ We follow their interests (dinosaurs today, trucks tomorrow 🦕🚒)
→ We make it cozy, silly, low-pressure

Because reading isn’t just about decoding words…
it’s about connection, confidence, and curiosity 💛

The goal isn’t to raise kids who force themselves to read—
it’s to raise kids who feel safe enough to grow into it.

So the next time you hear “I hate reading,”
just remember…
you’re not failing—you’re being invited to get creative 📚✨

Because of your support, we’re extending the event by an additional hour and introducing time slots to create a calm, cozy, and unhurried experience for every family—just as it was meant to feel.
