❄️ Excited to announce that we are collaborating with JDF’s Joy Project to provide warm coats and toys to the students of Cainhoy Elementary!

🩵 Starting next week Inner Strength Physical Therapy, LLC and Empowered Family will have a box in the waiting room to collect new warm coats (4t-adult medium) and new toys for ages 3-12

🤱 August is National Breastfeeding Month!

⏰ While I’m late to the party I still wanted to celebrate all those who have breastfeeding or attempted breastfeeding as part of their journey!

🍼 Please know it can be a difficult journey for many and I’m here to support you no matter what method of feeding works for you and your kiddo!

💪 As a postpartum PT we can work on posture, positioning, drainage, mobility, etc to help your experience! And we luckily have several local lactation experts in the area for those who need more assistance!

-Individually wrapped cleansing wipes
-Individually wrapped tampons
-Individually wrapped pads (MOST NEEDED!)
-Gallon-sized zipper bags
-Tall White Kitchen bags

📦All donations will be given to Lowcountry Period Pixies providing menstrual products to those in need in the LowCountry! This includes school districts, veterans groups, food banks, etc!

Caitlin McCurdy-Robinson, PT, DPT, owner of Inner Strength Physical Therapy, LLC, explained, “simply put, the pelvic floor is a group of muscles from the pelvic bone to the tailbone that supports the pelvic and lower abdominal organs, helps with continence and contributes to healthy sexual function.” 👇

In the most basic terms, the pelvic floor helps control bodily functions such as peeing, pooping, passing gas and giving birth, while also impacting a person’s sexual experience.
