Thank you once again USCG Charleston and Jag Alaska . Tim from Jag is one of the finest in the business. Motivation full steam ahead . In a joint venture with Dependable hydraulics of New England , we were able to re build this massive hydraulic cylinder for a crane mounted on the stern of the USCG James . A special thanks goes out to Tom LaRosa @ dependable for making this happen so quickly. The cylinder has a 12” inside diameter and weighs over 1500 pounds .

High- tech Hose just had the pleasure of working on the USCG James . On this build we replaced 82 hoses on the duel point davit system. This davit allows the coast guard to lower a smaller vessel from topside into the water in minutes flat . A special thanks goes out to our hose manufacturer Balflex Brand hose and fittings . I would also like to thanks Tim with Jag marine for providing this opportunity to join forces and make this rebuild happen flawlessly. Finally the USCG Charleston station . Hope to see y’all soon !

So today we repaired this chipper truck that would not dump. We took the power unit out found it had no breather cap on the tank and water got in the oil reservoir. Also, the starter motor was frozen up. High-Tech sprung into action with a new starter along with a complete tune up on the power unit. the chip truck was dumping like an champ again. Routine p.m. maintenance on the power unit is a smart idea if you don’t want any downtime, ask us today about our preventive maintenance special on all 12 V power units. Thanks Charleston.  and a special thanks to the owner of the chip truck. who we will leave name less .

Thanks again to our new friends Brad @ amplify logistics / Jonathan who owns and operates this beast of a machine . High-tech hose and hydraulics set them up with one of the best systems on the market . The Gemini multi pressure system exclusively from Permco hydraulics. They call it “ the American champ” . This week we were called in to flow test a hydraulic pump and motor to see which one needed to be replaced. The belt has lost speed and has slowed down production dramatically. We found the pump to be the issue. This massive machine and many others work hard at our local land fill here at bees ferry of charleston. I personally would like to thank the folks at Mc Gill environmental for placing their trust in us . We look forward to future work together.

Big thanks again to our USCG . We had an awesome time with the men from Jag Marine /Jag Alaska fabricating new Balflex Brand hydraulic hoses on the US James . This massive vessel is so impressive . Talk about must have tools in the tool box . With this flow meter we can separate the hydraulic pump from the other vital components, pin pointing the trouble at the source. It checks flow and pressure, so as we turn up the pressure we want to make sure the GPM drop off is minimal.

Today High Tech got the pleasure and honor to repair some leaks on the USS Yorktown flight simulator. This ship was the 10th aircraft carrier to serve in the USNavy. It’s 888 feet and can range 14,000 nautical miles at 13 knots. Today it sits at patriots point in Charleston where people come and are able to walk throughout the ship and get a strong taste of what these fearless men and women did for our country and our freedom, remember freedom does not come free. Thanks charleston, very grateful for today!
