✨ Community in Action ✨

We are so grateful for Professor Angela Stagliano and her students from Charleston Southern University for their incredible partnership with Meals on Wheels of Summerville!

Through this collaboration, Professor Stagliano has supported our mission in two meaningful ways—by providing substitute drivers to help deliver meals to our neighbors and by allowing students to shadow members of our Client Screening Committee as we welcome new clients into our program.

Each semester, 24 students adopt 12 delivery routes, serving alongside us on approximately three delivery days. Their willingness to serve not only helps ensure our neighbors receive nutritious meals, but also gives students a powerful, hands-on learning experience rooted in compassion and community impact.

We are incredibly thankful for this partnership and hopeful it will continue to grow. 💙

Congratulations to those from the CSU DPT Class of 2025 who have completed and passed their board examination, the NPTE, and are now officially Licensed Physical Therapists and Doctors of Physical Therapy! We are so proud of you! And to those taking the exam on future dates, we are proud of you also! The profession is getting some amazing clinicians! 💙✅

Our second (soon to be third!) years have the opportunity this semester to volunteer for various integrated clinical experiences in both their Special Populations courses, Pediatrics and Geriatrics! This past Friday, some of our students visited Seabrook Island Village to offer their skills and knowledge to the residents and staff there! We love serving at every chance we get! 💙🌊🌾

One of our very own DPT students, Nate Tschannen, SPT, just graduated with his Masters in Business Administration! He completed this program while simultaneously pursuing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy!

Did you know that the CSU DPT program offers a dual degree opportunity for those who also want to pursue their Masters in Business Administration? Students are able to earn this degree through CSUs online MBA program, while also actively pursing their DPT. The MBA degree is self paced, and students can begin at any time during the DPT program. This ultimately shortens the total time it takes to obtain both degrees, in comparison to most dual degree programs!

Nate, we are so proud of you and your accomplishments this far! Next stop, DPT graduation!

Our first year DPT students spent the morning last Wednesday volunteering at various local organizations such as Meals on Wheels, Lowcountry Orphan Relief, Lowcountry Food Bank, and many others! Making a positive impact while serving outside the classroom right here in Charleston 🍎🏡
