Born from a fusion of mat Pilates, reformer principles, and suspension (TRX-style) training, Suspension Pilates is more than a workout—it’s a full-body reconnection. This class builds core strength, balance, stability, and flexibility while helping you move with more awareness and control.

Unlike workouts that rush you through reps, Suspension Pilates invites you to slow down and dial in your form, all while delivering a satisfying, head-to-toe sweat. Using straps—or sometimes just the floor—your own body weight becomes the resistance. The shifting straps create dynamic instability, firing up deep stabilizing muscles and keeping them engaged the entire class.

Meet Ronnie, a teacher whose journey began in the midst of challenge—and transformed into a passion for healing through movement. After a severe C5/C6 neck injury left him in constant pain and without strength in his right arm, traditional therapies fell short. A doctor’s suggestion to try an alignment-based, spinal-health–focused yoga practice changed everything. Yoga worked, and it lit a fire in Ronnie to learn, heal, and share what helped him rebuild his life.

With over 500+ hours of training under renowned teachers Randy Boyd, Erika Laurenson, and Erin Larsen, Ronnie holds a 500 RYT mastery certification in Ashaya Yoga. His curiosity and care continue to guide him deeper into Thai Bodywork/Yoga, Polyvagal Theory, and Gentle Somatics, all of which inform his teaching.

🧘‍♂️ What to expect from Ronnie’s classes:
A blend of Hatha, Vinyasa, Alignment-Based Yoga, Thai Bodywork, and Somatic movement, all infused with heart, humor, and an invitation to explore your body’s capacity for strength, stability, mobility, and freedom.

Meet Jennie, one of our incredible instructors at The Folded Leaf — a teacher whose passion for healing, recovery, and mindful movement shines through every class she leads. 💚✨

Jennie brings a deeply grounded presence to the studio. As the Assistant Director of the West Virginia Alliance of Recovery Residences and former leadership staff at Recovery Point Charleston, she helped create their Yoga Program and taught mindfulness and movement to women in recovery from 2016–2025.
