Mission: Healing Farms will provide sustainable community-based supports that embrace and empower adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Impact: Through education, job training, recreation, adaptive equipment, and social support, we hope to give individuals not just the tools, but also the motivation to be energetic contributing citizens of society. We hope to be the catalyst to improve societal perceptions of disabled individuals.

Changing Futures, One Step at a Time. 🧡

We had an incredible time at the 2026 Walk & Roll! Between the 242 people who joined us at the park and the 53 virtual walkers across the country, the energy behind our mission was undeniable.

Because of your incredible support, we’ve raised $36,043 so far! These funds provide the vital community and resources our participants need to thrive all year long.

How you participate is up to you - walk, push a stroller, or ride a wheelchair. Join us and walk alongside local supporters and the families we serve. Our Story

Every year thousands of students with disabilities are aging out of high school with few options for employment or contribution. The general consensus is that individuals with disabilities are unable to contribute. At Healing Farms we don’t believe that.

Healing Farms is a Charleston based non-profit that exists to provide hope and opportunity to the special needs community. Our vision is to see a community inspired and empowered to see ABILITY first, not disability. To put it simply, we have a heart for helping our participants and a passion for teaching the community ways that they can include, support, and love the special needs community also. Through our adult day program we offer opportunities for our participants to work on life skills, social skills, and job training not in isolation but while participating with their peers in community.

Healing Farms is proving that empowerment and development in the special needs community yields high benefits for everyone. Families get the support they need. Talents and strengths emerge among participants and hopelessness vanishes. Community perceptions change and opportunity emerges. At Healing Farms We See Ability!
