Meet Joy! She is a volunteer at our Charleston facility. Prior to making the decision to contact us regarding volunteering, she had a feeling that the Lord wanted her to serve somewhere. Joy’s mom was a volunteer with us—Joy loves that this is a safe space for clients in the community and that each volunteer has a small part in making a big difference. We are so blessed to have Joy serving alongside us as we continue to offer free, confidential services to new & expecting moms!

One mama recently shared with me that she is a very different person now than when she first started coming to Choices. She told me she has learned a different way to parent, something she wanted to do but just didn’t have the tools to do it. While the changes are slowly coming to be part of her daily routine, she is gaining more confidence as a mama. Are you located in the Paris, IL area? Do you have a heart for serving others? Are you excited for what the Lord has in store for you next? You may just be our answered prayer! Our Director Janice would love to work alongside you at our Paris location! We don’t have volunteers or client advocates, but we are eager for that to change. March is a time of renewal and hope. Winter is behind us and spring is ahead. This month we spring our clocks forward, and although we lose an hour of sleep we look forward to the longer days and the growth in changes. As the young ladies come into our center and are seeking hope and comfort we want to say thank you for contributing to our mission. We look forward to seeing what God is doing in the lives of those that seek our community resources and our love and support. She CHOSE LIFE! 🙌
A woman with HUGE circumstances surrounding her made the decision to choose life this past week.

BEFORE coming to Choices, her only thought was abortion. Fear surrounded her and told her abortion was the easy way out, even though abortion wasn't something she believed in.

DURING her ultrasound, she realized she was further along than expected... 🤯information is POWER. God provides that info with a little help from our Nurses & Advocates 😉

AFTER chatting and finishing up the appointment, she said she's choosing to carry, no matter what the circumstances are that surround her! She couldn't do that to HER baby! 🙌

This is our WHY because women face this decision everyday and we want to be a place of HOPE for them in their time of need. We provide TRUTH in a loving and compassionate way that focuses on the woman, so she can make that choice for herself. 🙏🏻 PLEASE pray for this woman - she needs some extras!

Yesterday was a gorgeous day to be at the Illinois March for Life. 🌞 Janice and Veronica joined the crowd in Springfield to ask Illinois lawmakers to stand against abortion and make changes that value life in Illinois! 🎉

We currently serve 57 babies within our 4 centers—what a blessing! Right now, we are flying through diapers, especially sizes 4 to 6. Every so often, we have individuals or small groups that surprise us with diaper donations, and we appreciate every single person who contributes to our ministry. If you would be able to donate diapers at this time, we would be very grateful!

We need volunteers who are eager to serve, ready to learn, and most importantly, those who feel called by the Lord to invest into this ministry. There are several ways to serve at Choices. With offices in Mattoon, Charleston, Paris, and Casey, we have the opportunity to collectively pour into moms, dads, and babies within these communities.

From organizing donations, to helping us with reception tasks, and even training to become a Client Advocate, the goal is the same—work willingly for the Lord and allow Him to use you in a mighty way!

If you feel called and compelled to volunteer with us, contact the designated office in your area to get signed up before our April new volunteer training!
