Hunter Safety Education Course
Become a Certified Safe Hunter!
The West Virginia National Guard is pleased to invite all employees and their families to a comprehensive Hunter Safety Education Course, presented by the WV Division of Natural Resources.
This is a unique opportunity to learn from experts and receive your official certification. The course will cover everything you need to be a safe, ethical, and responsible hunter.
What You Will Learn
This course combines essential hands-on training and classroom instruction. Key topics include:
• Safe firearm handling and storage
• Ethical hunting practices
• Survival and first aid training
• Decision-making under pressure
• Outdoor awareness and responsibility
• West Virginia hunting laws & regulations
Important Notes
• Accurate Information: When registering, please enter the participant's information exactly as it should appear on their official Hunter Safety Education Card.
• Course Format: This single-day session fulfills both the online and in-person classroom requirements for the hunter education program.

Hello Everyone,

That time of year again…we have Stocking Stuffers & Canned food items @ the Tackett House (2nd floor), same place we had the school supplies to hand out.

If you can, swing by and pick up some goodies and spread the word please!

We do have program bags and will have everything out all day today & tomorrow.
