Good morning,

Please share with all your soldiers:

I wanted to reach out as the government shutdown continues. I know everyone is starting to wonder about bills that are inching closer to the due date. I have been told that multiple creditors are working with our service members and allowing skip payments or interest only payments during the shutdown. It is a good idea to reach out to your local bank, mortgage companies, auto loans, credit cards, as well as utility bills and explain the situation with the government shut down.

Attached you will find resources available. There are multiple banks working with furloughed employees and offering 0% interest loans as well as grant opportunities. There is also the WVNG Foundation Grant Application. If this is something you or one of your soldiers would like to apply for please reach out to me and I will get you the application.

Also, we have partnered with the Mountaineer Food Bank to set up as a Pop-Up Food Pantry. We have canned goods available at the Tackett House and can arrange delivery to the armory closest to your soldiers.

If you are needing gas cards to get to and from work, please reach out to me and I will work with local resources to see what we can get donated during the government shut down.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any issues. You can call or text 304-541-6740 at any time.

Respectfully,
