Students and young people are often told they are safe if they avoid certain substances, but illicit fentanyl has changed that reality. Fentanyl has been found in counterfeit pills made to look like OxyContin, Percocet, Xanax, and Adderall, as well as in substances sold as co***ne and methamphetamine. Many victims were young, healthy, and had no idea illicit fentanyl was present.

⚠️ Over 200 people in the United States die every day from fentanyl poisoning.

🚨 Signs of fentanyl poisoning
• Slow, weak, or stopped breathing
• Unconscious or cannot be awakened
• Choking, gurgling, or snoring sounds
• Blue or gray lips and fingertips
• Very small pinpoint pupils
• Cold, pale, or clammy skin

🆘 How to respond

1. 📞 Call 911
2. ✊ Rub the sternum with your knuckles to try to wake them
3. 💉 Administer Narcan (naloxone) if available
4. ❤️ Start CPR if they are not breathing
5. 🤝 Stay with them until help arrives

Carry naloxone. Know the signs. Your knowledge could save a friend’s life. 🕊️

Approximately 2.5 million U.S. adults meet the criteria for a severe gambling problem each year. 🎲🧡

Behind that statistic are real people — and families — navigating financial stress, relationship strain, and emotional hardship.

Raising awareness helps reduce stigma and connect more individuals to prevention, treatment, and recovery support. 🤝

Like substances, gambling activates the brain’s reward system and releases dopamine — the “feel good” chemical. Over time, this can change how the brain responds to risk and reward, making it harder to stop.

Understanding this helps reduce stigma and reminds us that problem gambling is a real, treatable condition — not a personal failure. 🤝

Recovery is possible. Support is available.
