Meet Eliza! She’s one of our newest incredible therapists here at Connections Counseling Center.

Eliza received her training from Northwestern University and brings a thoughtful, relational, and deeply compassionate approach to her work with clients. Eliza believes strongly in the power of the therapeutic alliance. No matter the reason you’re seeking support, her goal is to meet you in a nonjudgmental, culturally sensitive, affirming, and compassionate way.

We were honored to speak with Live 5 News about why real, licensed therapists are essential to meaningful mental health care.

AI can offer information. A therapist offers presence, clinical judgment, and a safe space to process the parts of life that don’t fit in a search bar.

✨ It's Meet the Team Monday! Meet Garrett! He’s one of our incredible therapists here at Connections Counseling Center.

Garrett’s warm, collaborative style gives clients the space to explore who they are and who they want to become. He specializes in Depression, Anxiety & Stress, Trauma recovery, and Grief, and is pursuing advanced training to serve couples. Grounded in psychoanalytic concepts and drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches, Garrett works with clients to address the root causes of emotional and relational struggles. He supports clients in processing difficult emotions, strengthening self-esteem, and transforming insight into meaningful action.

Fun fact: 🏈🧑🍳 Garrett spends his Saturdays meal prepping and watching his favorite football team, the Carolina Gamecocks!
