We have experienced a tumultuous time and a lot has changed. We have submitted a research paper as the following, and the paper presents a new mechanism of autoimmune disease through molecular mimicry. We have a panel test for Crohn's now, and we are establishing the link of microbes to neurodegenerative disorders through anti-microbial antibodies. Our MAP test for Crohn's is still available.

This is a recent paper of Crohn's model with convincing data of gut microbes. Dysbiosis means disturbance of gut microbes, either diversity or distribution. Also, dysbiosis occurs in genetically susceptible individuals, not everyone.

We have deposited a research paper about MAP growth behavior and other bacteria with implication for clinical blood culture. Basically the yield of clinical blood culture system is very low, and at least partly due to the growth behavior of bacteria. There is a process of programmed cell death that's ongoing, causing this peculiar growth behavior. We do not fully understand the mechanism, and we felt it's important to be known so that a better culture and diagnostic tools will be developed for better care for the patients.

This is a recent paper describing the presence of bacterial DNA in blood in association with flare, and pro-inflammatory cytokine production in Crohn's patients. The bacterial DNA identified from the blood of Crohn's: 76% enterobacters, 8% staphylococci, 7% enterococci, 7% streptococci. All common pathogens.
"Bacterial DNA translocation" was used in the paper without clear definition. In our view, the presence of bacterial DNA in blood means bacterial infection (bacteremia). Ironically, no antibiotic is discussed.
