From nursing to pharmacy to family medicine, these stories reflect what happens when people invest in people.

For Dr. Carolyn Thiedke, establishing a scholarship at MUSC () was a way to honor the mentor who shaped her career and to support future family medicine physicians.

For Dr. Isamar Perez Rodriguez, that support made a meaningful difference, easing financial pressure and allowing her to focus on caring for patients.

Now practicing family medicine in South Carolina, Rodriguez is doing what first called her to medicine. Building trust, caring for families and changing what's possible every day.

Scholarships don’t just support students. They help strengthen the communities those students go on to serve. 🩺💙
