When there's 50 mph winds, we can't see the driveway - because the snow drifts are that high, and it takes a half hour just to get the barn doors unfrozen so the horses can get a drink, this is my reminder... This too shall pass, and it will be ok. Take it easy out there today. No one should be out in this weather.

We have some exciting news to share! We recently were awarded a grant from the Charlevoix Community Foundation for our Unbridled Heart to Heart afterschool teen program through the Youth Needs Grant Cycle! Thank you so much to the Boyne Mountain Fund for Youth, the Cliff and Beth Bye Fund for Youth, the Bob and Gay Pung Fund for Youth, the Towsley Fund for Youth the Tunison-Garlock Fund for Youth, and the Youth Fund. We are incredibly grateful for their support in helping local teens get access to emotional wellness with equines at Wildfire Dreams!

The Charlevoix County Community Foundation is a grassroots charitable organization made up of various funds – all of them established by local donors. Some funds are earmarked for specific causes, and others are open-ended to meet changing needs. The funds are held in permanent endowment, so they can continue to grow and generate income to enhance the quality of life in Charlevoix County. The Community Foundation has made grants totaling more than $30 million to local nonprofits, schools, and municipalities since it began in 1992.

Wildfire Dreams 🔥 sponsored a tree for the Nehemiah House fundraiser. It was the most rewarding experience to create a tree in memory of my beautiful mother. When Cardinals aee near so are our angels. Hopefully, we will do this every year!
