What a wonderful first event for ReGroup today!

Thank you everyone who came out for our clothing swap, we had a wonderful time. There were great items that found wonderful new homes.

Any remaining items will be donated to local non-profit organizations.

Make sure to follow, we plan on having another event for spring/summer in late May!

Let me take a moment to (re)introduce myself. I’m Lindsay Walter, the owner of Mi Mobile Refillery. It’s not a brick and mortar shop, but a mobile business that brings non-toxic, zero-waste products for home and body right to your door. We deliver locally in Northern Michigan, and ship nationwide.

Mi-Mobile Refillery carries your everyday products like laundry soap, bamboo dish and glass brushes, cleaning products, shampoo and conditioner, lotion, and so much more. We sell by the individual product, or by the ounce if you’re refilling your bulk products. 🫧🧽🧴🧼

The diifference in the products I carry is that they are free of plastic, organic/plant based, cruelty free, hormone inhibitor free, zero-waste, and all around better for you and the environment.♻️🌎🌿

What is a mobile refillery and what sets apart?
First, a mobile refillery is a place where people purchase goods in bulk. These are typically products for home and body, however some also sell bulk grains, loose leaf teas, herbs, etc.
Refilleries support the zero waste movement by eliminating single use plastics, and using packaging that can be used multiple times, in a closed loop system, or are compostable/100% recyclable.
Mi Mobile Refillery is just as it sounds, a mobile unite that delivers goods to Northern Michigan, rather than a brick and mortar storefront. I ship products nationwide as well.

Tips to reset your home after the holidays in a sustainable, zero-waste way:

Gift bags that are still in good shape: flatten them and store for next year. Same goes with tissue paper! If you done have a lot of storage, put them in layers between your ornaments. Use tissue paper that would otherwise be recycled around ornaments to keep them safe and give that paper one extra life.

Plastic bags: shopping bags, ziplock bags used to store cookies and leftovers, bags that hold pellets, you get the idea, they are all recyclable! Toss them in your recycling bin, not the trash.

Candles: keep the holiday spirit alive by burning candles. Bee🐝 mindful of the candle wax, opting for 100% beeswax if possible. These candles purify the air while they burn, instead of emitting toxic fumes into your home. Beeswax and coconut oil candles are lovely as well! Both of these are available on our website right now!

There is so much waste during the holiday season, especially when it comes to packaging.🎁📦

Here are some ways you can keep things festive while also helping the earth 🌿🌎

🌿 reuse boxes that are shopped to you as many times as possible. Ask your friends to do the same, giving as many loves to one box as possible before finally recycling it.

🌿 many items that are shipped from a warehouse come with lots of extra packaging materials. Reuse those as well when sending fragile gifts or bringing breakable casserole dishes or casserole dishes to family gatherings.

🌿 craft paper that is sent as a packaging material makes a great swap for tissue paper in gift bags, and can be used as wrapping paper as well!

🌿those nice store bags your gifts come in make great gift bags, and show that you shopped small at your local stores as well! Big time street cred👌

Join me this week for 2 pop events:

✨Thursday at at their Lincoln After Dark event which raises money for Ennis Center for Children. Enjoy fine wine and holiday shop from amazing vendors.
✨Sunday find meat for their Winter Market. Sip and shop your day away at one of Detroits newest holiday markets. I’ll be there from 10-6.

I’ll be there with beeswax candles, skincare gift sets, and other toxin-free, zero-waste gifts from the refillery.

There are so many reasons why now more than ever it’s important to but there are a few of mine:

✨your dollars stay in the community
✨small business owners are grateful for every sale we make, it means the world when we are supported. Box stores dont feel gratitude, just profit margins.
✨ your support helps us to support our communities in big ways in return
✨ your dollars feed our own children, send them on school trips, put braces on their teeth, by dance lessons, etc. The more big box stores earn, the larger the bonuses are for the C suit at the end of the year.
