Beautiful Final Day of the Journey to Washington, D.C. – Day 110 (February 12, 2026)
Today brought a wonderful conclusion to the journey in Washington, D.C. It was a moment of deep delight for the venerable monks, for Aloka, for the entire team, and for all who joined and walked alongside them both in person and in spirit.
After 109 days and 2,300 miles, the Walk for Peace participants stood together at the Lincoln Memorial, hearts brimming with gratitude, surrounded by thousands who have believed in peace, supported the mission, and shared in this path.
In this photo, Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara carries Aloka in front of the gathering, a touching moment of love, peace, and completion shared with everyone present.
The monks extend their deepest thanks to all who offered support along the way. Every welcome, every smile, every offering, every prayer, and every step taken with them led to this beautiful moment of completion today.
This journey would not have been possible without the community's belief and participation. The monks thank everyone for believing in peace, for walking with them, and for helping make this vision a reality.
Today, they celebrate not only the end of a long journey, but the continued flowering of peace in hearts everywhere.
