A few people have reached out recently and asked where we stand with House Bill 1499, my legislation to ensure fairness in custody determinations and protect the rights of children to have equal access to both parents, provided they are willing and fit.

I’m happy to say momentum hasn’t stopped, and we continue to gather support for support for this important initiative. 𝗪𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝟲𝟭 𝗰𝗼-𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗶𝘅 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘀.

I’m still pushing forward to make 50/50 custody the default for Pennsylvania families, and I’m constantly encouraged by the growing support from fellow lawmakers who believe in fairness for children and parents alike.

In the very near future, I plan on adding a whole section to my website where you can track the status of House Bill 1499, get answers to frequently asked questions, and watch videos from our historic day in November at the State Capitol where we brought in supporters of this legislation.
