🌟Introducing Dr. Bradley Bishop!🌟

Dr. Bishop is excited about being recently married to his best friend, Dr. Pittillo. They couldn’t resist having Basil (Golden Retriever) and Remmy (German Shepherd Mix) be part of their special day as Best Dogs. 😍

Dr. Bishop developed his love for animals as a young child from his grandmother who always had lots of cats and dogs. In veterinary school, he quickly gravitated to the puzzle-solving aspect on internal medicine and hasn't deviated since. Dr. Bishop likes all aspects of internal medicine, but he particularly enjoys immune-mediated and gastrointestinal disease. Additionally, minimally invasive procedures involving endoscopy to help diagnose disease or remove foreign objects are some of his favorites.

Outside of work, Dr. Bishop enjoys traveling, hiking (Iceland is unforgettable), and going to an eclectic mix of concerts. Additionally, he loves crafting classic cocktails or inventing his own and is a big supporter of all the Charlotte sports teams. However, he most enjoys spending time with his family: Basil , Remmy, and Olivia.

Dear Charlotte Pet Parent,

We are thrilled to announce that Drs. Bradley Bishop and Shannon Flood have returned to serve the pets of Charlotte. Drs. Bishop and Flood have partnered with Dr. Richard Coe, the founder of Animal Medical Hospital to bring Animal Internal Medicine (AIM), a new veterinary internal medicine referral center, to the Charlotte metro area. AIM will focus on providing comprehensive compassionate care with an emphasis on integrity, and communication.

Animal Internal Medicine is a full service veterinary internal medicine referral center housed within Animal Medical Hospital at 3832 Monroe Road. AIM provides consultations, imaging (ultrasound) and a full complement of endoscopic procedures by referral from your primary care veterinarian. These services are available 6 days a week. Animal Internal Medicine can hospitalize patients through our partnership with the Animal Medical Hospital Urgent Care/ICU service. Every patient hospitalized by Animal Internal Medicine will be cared for by Dr. Bishop or Dr. Flood, throughout their hospital stay. This includes Sundays. Should your pet have an emergency, you can utilize the AMH Urgent Care Service 24/7 and if necessary, your pet will be hospitalized and transferred to Animal Internal Medicine the next business day.

We open our doors on Monday, June 5th. If you are interested in having your pet evaluated by Animal Internal Medicine, please ask your primary care veterinarian to process a referral request via the referral form on the Animal Medical Hospital Website or via internalmedicine@animalmedical.net.

We look forward to working with you and assisting with the care of your beloved pet.

Thank you for your consideration,
