Brenda K. Bennett affectionately known as “Aunt Booba," transitioned on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. After seventy-three years on this earthly
journey, she joined her mother in Heaven. Brenda was born September 23, 1947 in Mecklenburg County to Elnora and Robert Kiser. Brenda was a graduate of York Road High School and was a faithful member of Greater Galilee Baptist Church for almost fifty years. She was employed forty years by Hawthorne Nursing Center providing nutrition to its residents. For many years prior to retirement, Brenda was active in a bowling league. In retirement, she enjoyed her free time fishing by the lake and spending holidays and celebrations with her family. Brenda was a devoted mother, proud grandmother, loving aunt and a cherished sister.
Family was so important to Brenda and she treasured time spent with loved ones. Preceded in death are her parents Elnora & Robert Kiser, twin sister Linda K. Chester, sister Susan Kiser, brother Ronnie Kiser, brother-in-law Clarence Wherry and longtime friend for over 45 years Dellie Patterson. Brenda's memory will be celebrated and cherished by: Her son: Michael Bennett (Nichelle Nelson-Bennett); Three grandchildren: Nadaara Mussington, Kiam Mussington, Azaria Mussington; A sister, Eleanor Wherry; Niece, Leah Kiser; Nephews, Ronald Wherry (Tina), Brad Wherry (Tara), Chad Wherry; Special nieces and nephews: Markice Wherry, Christopher Wherry, Briyanna Wherry, Makayla Wherry, Karter Wherry and Abigail Wherry. Also survived by a son Leroy Bennett Jr; sister Barbara Patterson and her sons Steve and Bryan Patterson. Special thanks to her Caregivers Macie Berry and Linda Dozier.

Harriett Zoria Gentry Love, 77, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on August 19, 2021. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday August 24, 2021 at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Charlotte, NC. Viewing 5-7 pm at King's Funeral Home, 4000 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, NC. Harriet was a health care professional. Cherishing her memory are her husband of 59 years, John W. Love, Sr.; children, John W. Love, Jr. (Buddy ) and Jewel Christian Love; brother, Jerome Powell Gentry; sister, Margaree Gentry Hill; special niece/sister, Sherrill Frazier Coutourier; special cousin/daughter, Robin Johnson Burns (Jermaine); mother-in-law, Willie Davie; sisters-in-law, Marie Baxter Gentry, Sadie Massey, Sandra Davie, and Priscilla Davie Feemster (Sam); brother-in-law, Mannie Robert Love, Jr. (Toni); Goddaughter, Christina Thompson, nieces and nephews.
