Beyond the mind, beyond the construct, there is a place - a place where we all belong, a place where we come as one and that is where we are headed. That is where we are choosing. That is where we align. Each and every day the system wants to tear apart what we know to be true. That our hearts are the very essence of what makes us, that our soul knows more than what meets the eye beyond the system beyond the conditioning. There is a place if you allow yourself to see, if you allow yourself to hear, if you allow yourself to be open with gratitude, knowing that we are all different and the same at the same time.

The Hmong People usually celebrate their New Year after the ending of the harvest season when Mother Earth is preparing for its rest. Hmong people were known for being rice farmers and followed the agricultural calendar which also aligns with the lunar cycles. This was a time to give thanks to the Ancestors, honoring the spirits of the land, and closing the year up with traditional rituals, and celebration and festivities with traditional clothing with family and communities. The Hmong people were always known to celebrate after the completion of harvest season and it can last til winter.

This post is to simply just honor my ancestors and my roots. 🙏🏼☺️
