This spring and summer is all about Heartworm Awareness 🦟
This is what heartworm disease actually looks like under the microscope… those tiny, moving organisms are called microfilariae — the early life stage of heartworms circulating in the bloodstream.
Heartworms are spread by mosquitoes, and it only takes one bite to put your pet at risk. Once inside the body, these worms grow and live in the heart and lungs, causing serious — and sometimes fatal — damage over time.
The scary part? Many pets show little to no signs early on, which is why prevention is so important.
✔️Monthly prevention is simple, safe, and far less costly than treatment
✔️ Annual testing helps us catch infections early
✔️Protecting your pet means protecting their heart, lungs, and quality of life
