Every year during the holiday season, I find myself filled with love and gratitude—along with a quiet twinge of sadness. Melancholy, really.
Time moves swiftly. Traditions change. Memories surface of loved ones now resting with God. All of it can make this season feel beautifully overwhelming.
I’m sharing this for anyone navigating the complexity of feeling both joy and sorrow during a time when we often feel pressure to experience only happiness.
To know love is to be acquainted with sadness. To feel gratitude is to have known scarcity. Both are evidence of a life fully lived.
Today, I hope you honor every emotion you carry and recognize them as part of the fullness of being alive. Each feeling counts toward the richness of the human experience.
Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas ✝️🎅🌲
