Pregnancy after loss is a journey filled with hope and courage—but it can also bring fear, anxiety, and grief. It’s a path that deserves recognition, support, and understanding.

This month, we honor those who are carrying both joy and sorrow in their hearts. You are seen, you are loved, and you are never alone.

💛 If you or someone you know is navigating pregnancy after loss, let’s hold space for their story. 💛

Such an exciting year! As we prepare to welcome our newest little one this summer, I’ll be taking a much-needed break from May through August to birth our newest love, recover, and soak up these moments with TWO whole kiddos 🫣 I’ll be back to supporting families starting in September and can’t wait to hold space for you on your journey! If you’re due this fall and looking for a doula, let’s connect 🤎

Hey everyone ❤️

I’ve been a little MIA on here lately. I’ve debated on if I was going to give yall an explanation and decided I would because I have so many amazing women who reach out to me weekly. Women who I’m still guiding and helping.

I’ve decided after my current birth commitments, who I am SO beyond lucky to have in my life especially at a time like this, that I will be taking a step back on doula work for a little while. I have no clue how long but God is pulling me to draw close to Him in healing and focus on my little family.

This decision was made just a little over a month ago when we decided to make a massive life change and my precious son’s EDD came up. I didn’t realize how much trauma and grief was being covered up by ignoring my healing and using other women’s stories to try healing my own… when that is not creating ANY healing. The only true healing will come from Jesus.

I haven’t been able to give my family the love and attention they deserve. While we navigate our healing we are praying daily that God gives us another baby in the near future but trust His timing completely.

This isn’t goodbye. I love love love being a doula but you incredible women deserve a doula who is present and holy focused on your story! ❤️

See you soon!

Love, Kendall

Finding your dream job and growing in your calling is such a blessing from the Lord…

But it’s not easy. In reality, growing in your passion is hard and things will get tough. As doulas, we’re holding mothers and taking in every ounce of their emotions and feelings. We’re taking this on so they can focus on bringing life into the world. We’re holding them in such vulnerable moments. It’s raw. It’s emotional. It’s beautiful.

But our role isn’t just hip squeezes, patting her back, and cuddling babies. We take on the emotions and birth experience personally. If something happens to you or baby, your birth plan changes and is out of your control, or things completely do a 180 ….. we feel that too. We cry, we mourn with you, we question and grieve.

A bond is formed often that goes beyond your birth. You are the priority and ensuring your birth is honored in every way possible.

Being a doula is wonderful…. It is beautiful. It can also be, at times, messy, thankless, and down right hard. But those hard moments fade and we hold onto those amazing and beautiful moments when we know we made a difference.

It takes a lot of willpower not to become your superhero and try to be your protector. Ultimately we are there walking behind you nudging you and reminding you what you wanted all those months ago when we had our girl time and chatted about what you wanted from your birth experience. We’re there supporting you when that vision changes to ensure a safe birth outcome. Birth is unpredictable and we are there to hold you in those most vulnerable moments.

We learn to hold space with love and compassion for someone else’s experience, without making it our own. We witness the breaking points, and we learn to stretch without becoming broken as well.

We know you can birth your baby without us because THAT is how powerful women are but we are there to remind you in those vulnerable moments. Those moments of doubt when those hormones shift. Those moments of exhaustion.

We’re here and at the end of the day that’s all that matters. We’re here for you.

These two were so connected and it was such a heart warming experience watching him support her through each wave…. Your partner’s role in the birth of your sweet baby is SO vital. They know you more than anyone in the room and can make such a massive difference. Mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

This dad followed her around in every moment. Was there for her in every high and low of her process to bring baby down. Even in those moments where she felt she couldn’t go on, he was praying for her out loud.

As they navigate the physical and emotional intensity of labor and delivery together, couples can find themselves drawn closer through shared support, encouragement, and a deepened sense of teamwork. Partners may provide comfort through touch, soothing words, or simply by being present, creating a reassuring atmosphere that fosters trust and unity.

In this vulnerable yet empowering moment, the connection between couples can deepen as they witness the miracle of new life entering the world, solidifying their partnership and commitment to each other and their growing family.

✨Redeeming Grace & Trusting Your Body ✨

Coming soon!!!

My birth classes are in the works and I am beyond excited to offer private sessions in your home!!

During my client prenatal home visit I love to hash out your birth plan and all the things you want out of your birth. Typically I have been referring out mamas and their partner to other birth classes in our area but have been brainstorming the best option for my clients to receive personal, one on one education with me.

This gives me a chance to bond with you before I hold a space for you. This is such a sacred time and place so I want to do everything possible to help prepare you both for the arrival of little babe ❤️

This will be incorporated in my client price but for those who are not my doula client, I am offering this as an individual service for anyone who needs birth education!

Birth classes includes:
- 4-6 private sessions in your home
- Learn how to prepare in the last weeks of pregnancy
- Birthing education (includes comfort techniques, positions, medical intervention education, complications discussions, all stages of labor education and guidance, initial baby care education, and more)
- Postpartum care and tips for you and baby
- Access to all my postpartum referrals if you are not a doula client

I cannot wait to begin this new service and help make a difference in your birth journey! Feel free to DM me with questions 🫶🏼

Feeling pressured to wean your toddler? Pediatrician, family members, friends, etc. saying it’s not necessary or they are not getting anything from it except dependency? Doubting if your child still even needs breast milk anymore at 12 months +?

Well Mama, I can ASSURE you that tuning out the world and doing exactly what your mama heart desires is perfectly fine. We do not have to conform to societal norms. If your toddler is still asking for milk and holding onto that bond with you and you are still happy and thriving nursing them, KEEP GOING 👏🏼👏🏼 and congratulations because that bond with your baby and the nutrition gained is unmatched in every way.

Research shows that breastfeeding is still important for you and your child during toddler years.

Breastfeeding your toddler can provide:
- 29% of daily energy needs
- 43% protein requirements
- 75% vitamin A requirements
- 60% of vitamin C requirements
- 76% folate requirements
- 94% b12 requirements
- 36% calcium requirements

With these strong nutrients in breast milk, your child can fight off illness. As the number of feeds they take reduces, the concentration of immune factors increases!! Women are amazing 🤩

Not only is breastfeeding longer beneficial for your child’s immune system but it also lowers the risk of diseases/illnesses such as GI infections, respiratory infections, ear infections, overweight / obesity, dental ailments, etc.

My favorite thing about the power of breastfeeding is the fact that they know they have protection when they do fall ill. They get just the right amount of nutrients to fight off viruses when they are sick and cannot eat solids. Yes, nursing is comfort for them but it truly is healing physically!

Not only is it beneficial for your child but it also lowers YOUR risk of: breast cancer, ovarian cancer, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease / stroke.

It’s like God created breast milk for this very reason 😜

So mama PLEASE don’t feel guilty and pressured any more!! Nurse as long as you both are comfortable! 👏🏼🫶🏼 no one else’s opinion matters.

Holding space. I often get asked “so what do you bring with you to the birth?”. I respond with a few of the things my mamas typically utilize and actually can benefit from and most of all I discuss what I can bring to their space emotionally. Yes, I have a doula goody bag but surprisingly enough my bag typically is left untouched.

This is because our presence in a birth and holding space is more valuable and cherished than any physical item that we bring with us.

Our most powerful tools we bring with us are our hands, our voices, knowledge, and most of all…. Our belief in the woman who is laboring in front of us. Being open to the moment, listening to how she sounds, watching the way she moves, all tells us how we can best serve and honor her space. It tells us what she needs most from us.

If what she is doing is working….. leave her alone. This is powerful when women labor in the system and are constantly being interrupted. With a mama who is not prepared to fully zone out and shut off her surroundings, interruption can be detrimental to her progress.

As birth workers, we don’t need to be fostering a sense of dependency but a spirit of independence. Once she has pulled her baby to her chest and we’ve reached the end of her laboring and breathing journey, I wanted to have created an environment where the couple says “we did it!!! We couldn’t have done this without you!”…. Because then I know I’ve properly held the perfect space for them both.

So sometimes, it’s okay to not be the doula that “has it all”…. Because guess what? You have it all right inside your heart and soul ❤️
