Today is World Sleep Day 😴

Sleep plays a huge role in our emotional and mental wellbeing. When we get enough rest, it helps our brains process emotions, regulate stress, and restore the energy we need to move through the day.
If sleep has been difficult lately, you’re not alone. Many kids, teens, and adults struggle with sleep at different points in life.

Small habits - like consistent sleep schedules, reducing screens before bed, and creating calming bedtime routines - can make a big difference.

Today is National Day of Unplugging 📵

Even short breaks from screens can help our nervous systems reset and create space to reconnect with ourselves and the people around us.

Try one small way to unplug today:
• take a short walk
• have a phone-free meal
• step outside for a few minutes
• notice your breath

You don’t have to unplug perfectly, just start with a small pause ☀️

Emotions are currents, not problems to solve 🌊

When we rush to fix or cheer up our child (or ourselves), we may accidentally build a dam. And dams create pressure.

Validation isn’t agreement.
It isn’t encouraging someone to “stay stuck.”
It’s allowing the nervous system to process.

“That’s hard.”
“I see you.”
“That makes sense.”

If cheerleading hasn’t been working, try validating instead - and notice what shifts ☀️

Kindness does more than brighten someone’s day, it helps our nervous systems feel safer.

When we experience kindness, our bodies soften. Our breathing slows. Connection replaces isolation.

And that includes the kindness we offer ourselves.

Today, consider:
☀️ Sending the text
☀️ Leaving the note
☀️ Letting someone merge
☀️ Speaking to yourself with a little more compassion
