💙 FSA: Often use-it-or-lose-it (some plans allow a small rollover or grace period)
💙 HSA: Rolls over year to year

How this applies to SONU + therapy:
🎧 SONU is a sound-based sleep support headband designed to promote relaxation and parasympathetic nervous system activation
🧠 Often used as a supportive adjunct to myofunctional therapy for airway, sleep quality, and nervous system regulation
💳 May be FSA/HSA eligible depending on your plan (sometimes with a prescription)

This simple exercise packs in big benefits:
• Lip seal & oral muscle control
• Breath control with a slow, regulated exhale
• Nasal breathing awareness
• Calm, efficient breathing patterns

The bubbles give instant feedback — smooth bubbles = steady airflow.

Day 15 🎄 | Blow Ball Pipe (Upside Down Edition)

Same tool, different challenge 👀

Turning the blow ball pipe upside down shifts this into a nasal inhale exercise that encourages slow, diaphragmatic breathing, lip seal, and breath control.

Take a slow inhale through your nose, let the breath drop into your diaphragm, and gently trap the ball with your breath. When it starts to feel challenging, exhale through your nose and catch the ball (coordination optional 😅).

Tip: You can hold the pipe with one hand for extra support if needed.

As always — no forcing, no rushing. Awareness over effort.

This playful exercise is doing more than it looks like. We start with lip puffs (teeth gently together to avoid jaw shifting), then challenge you to move the air to the upper lip — cue the Grinch face 😄

We incorporate the MyoMunchee often because it’s a simple, effective tool that supports lip seal, jaw stability, oral awareness, and coordination — all foundational pieces of functional breathing, swallowing, and rest posture.

It’s a great option for children, teens, and adults, whether you’re just getting started or layering it into more advanced therapy. Like most myo tools, how you use it matters — a gentle lip seal, relaxed jaw, and intentional chewing go a long way.

Day 11 of our Myo Advent Series: Lip Pops 💋✨

This one looks simple, but it’s a total powerhouse for building lip seal, strength, and facial muscle coordination — especially for kiddos (and adults!) who struggle to keep their lips together naturally.

Roll the lips inward, hold for 1–3 seconds, and release to make a strong, clear pop. It’s gentle, intentional, and surprisingly fun. See if you can work up to about 2 minutes of practice — those small daily reps really add up.

We use Lip Pops to support:
• Stronger, more natural lip seal
• Facial muscle balance and tone
• Better coordination for swallowing + speech
• Jaw stability and awareness

Your future lip seal will thank you. 😉✨
