For our final post to celebrate National DPC day on Nov 1st, I thought I’d tell you a bit about me. I love most of my DPC colleagues and you can find one for yourself at www.dpcfrontier.com. We are a group of physicians that decided that we couldn’t be the kind of doctors we wanted to be under the current system. We help each other so that we can help our patients. I hope this video series has given you insights on how DPC is an option. Please ask questions if you have any. We are happy to help!

In Direct Primary Care, advocacy isn’t an extra — it’s built in. Your DPC doctor has the time and freedom to help you navigate the healthcare maze, stand up for your needs, and make sure your voice is heard. Because care should feel like partnership, not paperwork. Here’s a real example of how being an advocate for my patient made a huge difference!

Curious how DPC actually saves patients money? In this video, I share a few real-life examples — including one patient and one business owner who both love their spreadsheets! Even without the data, most patients quickly see that DPC is not only affordable, it truly saves them money.

DPC brings your doctor closer than ever — no waiting rooms, no phone trees, no wondering if you should head to urgent care.

Sometimes the best care is just a quick call or text away.

10/29/2025

This is what accessibility in healthcare should look like. In Direct Primary Care, you can text, call, or see your doctor directly — no middlemen, no long waits, no surprise bills. Just real access and real relationships.

Celebrating by helping more people understand what makes this model special — care that’s accessible, affordable, and personal.

DPC is an innovative model of primary care that has gone back to the days when physicians and patients had more direct relationships. Our current healthcare system is broken and inefficient. While we still work with other offices and are affiliated with hospitals, we’ve chosen to do a monthly membership model that covers all visits, and focuses on assessibility, affordability, and advocacy for our patients. You can still use your insurance for prescriptions, imaging tests, Specialty visits and any type of care you need. We have taken old fashioned healthcare where the neighborhood physician and friend knew their patients and had direct relationships with them that results in better care and outcomes. By not being paid for visits by insurance companies, we’ve simplified primary care and removed ourselves from the overwhelming burden insurance driven models thrust on us. We have a very low overhead on purpose-so we can focus on patients rather than paperwork (or computer work). We’ve decided assembly care medicine is not ideal and bloated bills lacking transparency is just wrong. We are different than concierge because we focus on affordability while also giving better care. Stay tuned this week as we lead up to the first National Direct Primary Care day on November 1st. We want to educate the public about their options and learn what we love about DPC. Have any questions, happy to help, and stay tuned as we give examples of how DPC saved us as physicians and fixes a part of our broken healthcare system. We love it and think you will too!

🌟 This Saturday is National DPC Day! 🌟

It also happens to mark 6 years since I opened my practice in 2019 — and I’m feeling so grateful.

To celebrate, I’ll be sharing a few videos this week (yes, in my National DPC shirt 😄) to help spread the word about why I care so much about the Direct Primary Care model — one that focuses on accessibility, affordability, and advocacy.

My office is right here in Plaza Midwood, about a mile from my home — created to care for my community and truly get to know my patients as neighbors.

If you’re one of my patients or believe in what DPC stands for, please like, share, or comment to help more people learn about this model during Open Enrollment.

And thank you — to my patients, friends, and community — for helping me find joy in medicine again. 💙

We are excited to announce that this Saturday, November 1st is the first National Direct Primary Care Day! To celebrate how our movement of physicians taking Medicine back is growing, we are doing a social media campaign to get the word out about DPC. All week I’ll be doing reels describing what Direct Primary Care means and give examples of how the model works for both patients and physicians. We collectively have shirts
commemorating the event so look for a few of us as we share our journeys of how DPC is saving parts of healthcare. We’ve chosen the date to coincide with Open Enrollments that will likely make many people anxious because we want people to know that they have multiple options. The government has noticed our growth and has written into a bill that you can use your HSA (healthcare savings account which is pre-tax dollars) toward DPC memberships. We are experiencing a lot of growth as more and more physicians decide that this is the best answer to our broken and inefficient healthcare system. It’s not perfect and doesn’t fit everyone, but it’s the best alternative right now for most. Stay tuned as we share stories from physicians and patients detailing how this model has helped us. If you want to find a DPC office near you, check out www.dpcfrontier.com and www.dpcnews.com for updates and information on Direct Primary Care. We love it and we think you will too!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Here’s a quick overview of a key difference between a thermography and a mammogram. Unfortunately, there is not currently enough research and evidence that a thermography is sufficient for detecting or monitoring cancer. Mammograms are still recommended for yearly screenings.
