I just returned from the International ADHD conference in Kansas City where professionals from various fields (coaches, therapists, physicians, teachers and more) gathered to learn about some of the latest research and strategies to support people with ADHD. So fitting, as today marks 4 years since I began my career as a Certified ADHD Life Coach! I’m so thankful for the learning, inspiration, growth and connection I have in this community. ✨💫Time flies when you love what you do!! 🙌💗

Many of us tell ourselves and others that “we don’t have time.”

No time to slow down and relax. No time to exercise. No time to enjoy a hobby or learn something new. No time to waste…

This powerful urge to keep going without a break…to recharge and restore…inevitably leads us down the path of overwhelm and ultimately burnout.

Take some time…

To slow down

And PAUSE

…to Nurture your mind, heart, body and spirit.

We can’t love, give, or serve others well,

As we open the door to 2023, consider taking some time to reflect on the past year and ponder what you'd like this new year to look like. Here are a few reflection questions for you...

1. What were your favorite memories or highlights of this past year?
2. Where did you make progress? What went well?
3. What was challenging or didn't go well?
4. What activities/tasks drained your energy? Which ones gave you energy?
5. What do you want to do more of this year?
6. What would you like to be different this year?
7. What new insight did you gain or what's the biggest lesson you learned last year?
8. What is one thing you are most proud of from this past year?
9. What are you looking forward to in 2023?
10. If you were to choose one or two words, what intention would you like to set for the new year? (For example, "Balance" , "Joy" or "Take Action" - Who do you want to be?

We can expect that any new knowledge, skill or habit we hope to acquire will be challenging in the beginning. But, what if we shift our mindset from fear of failure or of making mistakes to one of learning? When we are willing to make mistakes, take calculated risks and see any "failure" as a learning opportunity imagine what's possible! What current challenges can you reframe as learning opportunities?
