In fact, it is better to feel than check out.
When we disconnect from what our body is feeling, we also disconnect from what our body is communicating that it needs, in order to heal more completely. Growth occurs as we explore at a comfortable pace, in a process that is unique to each of us; with a goal of becoming a fully-present participant in the everyday, simple pleasures, as well as safely embracing and processing the pain that is now woven into our story.
This might look like TTT (Trauma Touch Therapy™) or coaching through the trauma. Sessions are best performed clothed, in a chair or on the massage table, if preferred. You do not need to share anything you do not feel comfortable sharing. Everything is client-led. My role is a compassionate guide, alongside you, as we work through past trauma and the ways it might be affecting you today.
Psychotherapy with a licensed therapist is strongly encouraged, prior to and/or during our TTT/Coaching sessions. Trauma Recovery Coaching is different from psychotherapy, in that coaching is working with your current starting point as an acceptable neutral ground and is more action-based from that point onward. A Recovery Coach enables the person receiving treatment to take control of their life and take action to steer it toward their goals.
