🦃💛 Thanksgiving Food Drive Success at The Village on Morehead 💛🦃

Thanks to the generosity of our residents, team members and community, we were proud to donate 14 food boxes and 8 frozen turkeys to the Charlotte Rescue Mission ahead of Thanksgiving. These donations helped provide families in need with everything they needed to prepare their own meaningful holiday meals.

We are grateful to everyone who contributed and helped make a difference this Thanksgiving season. It’s moments like these that truly reflect the heart of our community. 🍁

🎨 Creativity on Full Display at The Village on Morehead! 🎨

This week, we proudly hosted our Member Art Show & Exhibit, a celebration of everything our talented members have created in our Masters Art Class over the past year. From bold abstracts to delicate sketches, the showcase was a beautiful reminder of the creativity, curiosity, and passion thriving in our community.

A special thank-you to Mike Wirth, our incredible art instructor who leads the arts programming at The Village on Morehead. In addition to guiding our members, Mike also teaches at Queens University and has completed murals across the United States. His expertise and encouragement truly help bring out the artist in everyone.

We couldn’t be more proud of our members and the inspiring artwork they shared. Here’s to another year of imagination, expression, and art that brings us all together! 🖼️✨

Our residents had an absolute blast at our Beginner’s Line Dancing Class this week! 💃🕺

A special thank-you to Paul and Rebecca Blackwelder, professional s**g and line-dancing instructors, who brought their talent, energy, and charm to our community. In just one lively hour, our members learned new steps, practiced technique, and—most importantly—had FUN.

Even our Executive Director, Stacy, jumped in and showed off her moves!

📚✨ A Taste of Learning at The Village on Morehead!

Our residents enjoyed an inspiring visit to the Culinary Community School of Charlotte, where they toured the teaching kitchens, watched students in action and learned how this incredible program is shaping the next generation of chefs.

From professional techniques to creative flavors, it was a deliciously educational afternoon — and our residents loved every moment!

We’re grateful to the Culinary Community School team for welcoming us so warmly. Experiences like these make life at The Village on Morehead vibrant, engaging and full of discovery. 🍽️💛

🐾 Blessing of the Animals at The Village on Morehead 🐾

Last Thursday, November 13th, we welcomed Holy Comforter Episcopal Church for a truly special tradition — the Blessing of the Animals.

Residents gathered with their beloved dogs as Reverend Jay Mills shared meaningful scripture and offered a personal blessing for each pup. Every pet received a keepsake certificate to mark the occasion, making the day even more memorable.

It was a heartwarming celebration of companionship, joy and the love our residents share with their furry family members. 💛🐶
