Show Up & Make It Count: Do Good Week 2026!

It is officially SHARE Charlotte’s 10th Annual Do Good Week (April 20-24)! This week, the entire Queen City is coming together to show that a little bit of good goes a long way.

As a proud local non-profit, Allegro Foundation is excited to be part of this community-wide celebration of giving. While National Volunteer Month is all about the "heart," Do Good Week is all about the "action!"

3 Ways to "Do Good" with Allegro this week:
1. Give Your Talent: Are you a creative soul? We have sewing and craft projects that help our students!
2. Give Your Time: Spend just 30 minutes in one of our movement education classes and see the impact firsthand.
3. Give a Shoutout: Not able to volunteer this week? You can still "Do Good" by sharing this post! Helping us spread the word about our FREE programs for children with disabilities is a huge help.

Charlotte is known for its generosity, and we are so grateful to be part of a community that looks out for one another. Let's make this the biggest Do Good Week yet!

Celebrate National Volunteer Month with Allegro!

April is National Volunteer Month, and there is no better time to become a Champion for Children with Disabilities. Whether you have 30 minutes a week or a specific professional talent, your time transforms lives right here in our community.

Here are 7 ways you can get involved today:
1. In-Class Support: Work one-on-one with our amazing students in our movement education classes. (30 mins – 2 hours/week).
2. Office & Creative Help: From admin projects and computer skills to sewing, crafts, or yard maintenance—the possibilities are endless!
3. Fundraise: Organize a "Do Good" drive at your church, school, or workplace.
4. Internships: We’re looking for motivated college students (Psychology/Education majors) to kick-start their careers with hands-on experience.
5. Event Support: Are you 21+? Join us for our Ambassador’s Ball or the Allegro Golf Invitational!
6. Office Refresh: Are you a pro with a power washer? Help us beautify our office and walkways!
7. The "IOU": Not sure where to start? Just let us know you want to help, and we’ll find a role that fits your schedule.

As children explore the world, sensory experiences are key to their development. Pumpkins offer a unique tactile and visual experience, helping children learn about textures, shapes, and colors. For children living with disabilities, sensory play is especially beneficial, as it can improve language, social skills, and motor abilities. Check out this photo of Allegro students enjoying their pumpkin adventure!
