I have been doing massage therapy for 18 years and am still learning. Hi,
The most important skill for a massage therapist no matter their talent or knowledge is their ability to listen. I listen to my clients and clarify what they are needing and wanting. I observe their posture and how they move. As I work, I check how client is responding to treatment. From all this, I am able to determine with the client their best course of treatment they respond best to. Here are my skills and knowledge of things I can do:
Certified Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (CNMT), Swedish Massage, Fertility Pregnancy and Postpartum massage, Hot Stone Massage, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Biodynamic and Craniosacral Therapy (BCST and CST), Advanced Integrative Reflexology, Reiki, Hot Stone Massage, Cough Congestion and Sinus Therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), Castor Oil Packs, Aromatherapy and essential oils, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Vacuum Cupping Therapy, Fibromyalgia Massage Therapy, Myofascial Release, Active Isolated Stretching, Sport Taping (FMT-RockTape), (James Walaski) Orthopedic Massage Therapy
From the above techniques I am able to help a client with the following:
Stress, sports injuries, marathon running recovery, post surgery, liposuction recovery, migraines, tension headaches, postpartum, pregnancy, muscle restrictions, Sciatica, Frozen shoulder, Fibrotic Tissues, Carpel Tunnel, posture, back pain, before and after sports events, hip issues, knee issues, plantar Fasciitis, lymphedema, Iliopsoas muscle groups, fibromyalgia, cough congestion, adhesions and restriction in various joints and hips. From all these skills and different modalities, I can usually find something that works for you. If not, I will find you someone who can. Not all issues can be fixed by massage. I like to work with doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, Pain clinics, physiologists, acupuncturists, medical exercise specialists, counselors, recovery and traditional Chinese medicine. The best solutions come from eastern and western medicine, exercise, nutrition and therapies that promote better health and wholeness. Current work Hours
