This month, SPARC Services & Programs is proud to recognize and celebrate the impact of our Counseling Interns. Already, these emerging professionals are making a meaningful difference—showing up with compassion, curiosity, and a strong commitment to growth. Through each interaction, they are building trust, strengthening connections, and creating space for healing and change.
Behind their growth is the dedicated supervision and support from our Clinical Director Caylee Gilham, that helps shape their journey. Through guidance, mentorship, and a focus on developing clinical skills, SPARC remains committed to investing in the next generation of counselors and ensuring they are equipped to serve individuals, families, and communities with excellence.
The dedication these interns demonstrate reflects the very best of the counseling profession, and we are excited to see the continued impact they will make.

FCT Supervisor Melisa Tate shared the following staff shout out
Emily Arrowood 🌟

Emily and Josh (FCT Trainer) collaborated to yesterday after a concerning cancellation from a family and decided that Emily should do an in person check in. Their instincts were spot on because when Emily arrived the family was in crisis.

Where Emily really shined was her calmness in the storm. She remained regulated, fact based, solution focused and kept that practitioner hat on the whole time.

Emily you have grown in so many areas in just the past few months. I am so proud of you and I'm thankful you choose to be a part of this team.

Thank you for doing this with me 🖤

Thank you Melisa, Josh and Emily for your commitment to our mission and our families 🩵

We received this feedback and shoutout from a mom this week:

"I just wanted to take the time to say how much we appreciate Lela. She came by today to do a little celebration for our family for finishing her FCT and I just feel like she puts so much time and effort into everything she does and so much thoughtfulness as well. Then she stayed and played with my daughter and her Barbie doll house. My daughter absolutely adores her and really gets so much from the therapy sessions. I feel like it has helped her be able to express her feelings better and really think about things before she does them. We are so thankful for Lela and as a family feel very blessed to have had her come into our life." 💙

Thank you for everything you pour into families LeLa!
