Because it's part of the journey...I lost power and endurance...that ride use to take under 1.5 hours... today right at 2...but I didn't have a goal other than enjoying the feeling of being free....and my may be a lil old but she can still get it going with the 😏

In this example it's a controlled step down (or you can simply call it a SL Squat 😂) which was performed perfectly by the way...descend until the heel of the opposite foot makes contact then drive back up using the working leg only....use a 4-2-1 tempo to increase the difficulty...

Trying to shoot a video and use a goniometer is challenging! Movement Arm is slightly out of alignment, please forgive me.

Ok, to continue the post from yesterday...before you assume dorsiflexion is limited, you need objective data to confirm what you may see in movement. This measurement of dorsiflexion is taken with the knee straight...
1. Would we also want to take a measurement with the knee flexed? If so, why?
2. What's the considered to be an acceptable range of motion for dorsiflexion?

Dorsiflexion is extremely important when attempting a basic movemen like the squat. So before you place something under your heels, ensure that dorsiflexion is adequate....you may need to increase the volume on this one, noisy background...my apologies!

As humans we move in a three dimensional environment but when it comes to training, the sagittal plane is the primary focus. There are many ways to progress an individual and changing the plane of movement is one....try to incorporate more movements in all three planes of motion 👊🏾
