We're thrilled to announce a brand new service at ABtA - is now available at our clinics!

👋 Introducing Anna Smith, M.A., CCC-SLP: Many of you already know and love Anna as part of our ABtA family, as she has been consulting with our team and getting to know all of our learners! We're excited to share that Anna is now scheduling evaluations and will begin to provide speech therapy services to our learners in the coming weeks! With an incredible 25+ years of clinical experience both in clinic and public school settings, Anna brings a wealth of expertise in pediatric speech and language development.

🏢 Therapy That Meets Our Learners Where They Are: Anna will provide sessions wherever our learner feels most comfortable — whether that's in our gym, therapy room, lunch room, or any other space in the clinic. We believe the best progress happens when children feel safe, supported, and at ease in their environment.

🤝 Seamless Collaboration with ABA Services: Anna's speech therapy will work hand-in-hand with our ABA programs, creating a comprehensive approach to support your child's communication and developmental goals. With years of experience working with teens and young adults with autism, our Life Skills Program in Charlotte teaches the whole laundry process: sorting lights from darks, washing, drying, folding, and yes, actually putting it away. is so thankful to Carmel Baptist Church for hosting such a wonderful and meaningful event supporting families with a wide range of abilities and support needs. We loved connecting with families, caregivers, and attendees who made the morning feel so welcoming and encouraging. It was also great to see so many community organizations coming together to share resources and support. This event was a beautiful reminder of how strong our community is when we show up for one another. 💙

In our ADL program, learners build real-life skills through structured group activities, like this Nintendo Switch soccer game. They practice taking turns, following rules and on-screen directions, communicating with peers, and showing good sportsmanship as they play. Staff supports routines and transitions so learners can build essential life skills.
