As 2025 comes to a close, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. 💙 This year, we grew to 150+ team members, earned Charlotte's Best Place to Work award, and watched our learners master new skills and reach incredible milestones, including our VERY FIRST Vocational Skills graduate! 🎓

We expanded ADL services to Pineville, launched caregiver support groups with mental health professionals, nutritionists, and speech therapists, hosted webinars on essential topics for caregivers and professionals serving the autism community, and organized special events to bring families together.

We welcomed professionals through clinic tours, hosted networking events to connect special needs professionals, and co-hosted partner events to share knowledge and learn from each other.

We spotlighted our Achievers of the Month, voted on by our amazing team!
We also advocated for Medicaid in Washington, DC, meeting with senators’ representatives to highlight the vital role Medicaid plays in supporting individuals and families with developmental needs. Our team emphasized the importance of continued funding for ABA therapy and protections that ensure access to essential services.

From food drives and hygiene drives to backpack giveaways, Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations, to the Gratitude Games (congrats, University Center on 188 Thankful Wall notes! 🏆), and standing alongside our community at events and anniversaries, we showed up in every way possible.

To every family who trusted us, every team member who showed up with heart, and every community partner who walked beside us - thank you for making this year unforgettable.

Here's to more growth, more milestones, and more moments that matter in 2026.

With Kameron Rickard, M.A., BCBA, "Kitten Doctor" is exploring the power of play! ✨ Play is a vital tool for children with autism because it helps them develop communication, cooperation, emotional awareness, and social connections. Every shared game and positive interaction with peers is a victory🏆 that builds confidence and lays the foundation for lifelong skills.

You met our first Vocational Skills Certificate Program graduate -now meet the person who made it possible.

📣 The Leader Behind the Milestone: Ashley Horton!

As our Senior Manager of Older Learner Programs, Ashley championed this historic achievement with unwavering dedication. Her leadership and belief in our learners transformed vision into reality, equipping our graduate with the skills for independence and future success.

Thank you, Ashley, for changing lives and making history. 👏

Giving back is always in season! 🤝 Our WS team: Samantha Daniels, Center Director, Brittney Friday, Administrative Operations Manager, and Roman Goode, Marketing Coordinator, stepped up to support New Garden Landscaping & Nursery, a local landscaping company's hygiene drive benefiting the homeless community. When Emily Jennings in HR shared details about this important initiative, Roman brought the collected items to show our commitment to the community. Small acts of kindness create a big impact!
