Cravings are signals—not failures.

They often come from hunger, stress, loneliness, or exhaustion. When we understand what our body and mind are asking for, we can respond with healthier choices.

At Carolina Center for Recovery & Charlotte Detox, we teach practical tools to recognize triggers, stabilize nutrition and sleep, and build coping strategies that support recovery long-term.

You’re not alone in this process💜

This March, we’re focusing on Whole-Person Healing—highlighting the daily habits that help restore the body and mind in recovery.

Recovery is built in small, consistent moments.
Waking up at the same time.
Eating regular meals.
Drinking enough water.
Getting quality sleep.

These simple routines help stabilize mood, reduce cravings, and support healing in early recovery.

At Carolina Center for Recovery, Whole-Person Healing means helping clients build habits they can carry into everyday life.

What’s one routine that helps you stay grounded? 💛

✨ February Employee of the Month: Daniel Hearne ✨

Daniel is our Operations Director, and we are so grateful for his heart, dedication, and the way he shows up for our team and our clients every single day.

💬 "Can’t really say enough good things about this man. The only employee at CCR who is literally on call 24/7 — and the one person we can always call who will have a prompt, caring solution for any problem or situation at work. He cares deeply about each of us as people and is always asking: “What do you need?” and “How can I help you with it?” Respected beyond words and loved by all, he brings humor, heart, and dedication into our workplace every single day — making CCR a better place to be. He is truly the glue of CCR, always going above and beyond, working tirelessly, and showing up no matter what. He is awesome — and we are grateful for everything he does." Also known as our very own weather man: 🌦️ “Larry Sprinkles” 🌦️

🫶 Week 4: Social Love for Your Heart

Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Strong, supportive connections play a vital role in recovery.

Social love means building relationships rooted in trust, respect, and understanding. It also means learning healthy boundaries and surrounding yourself with people who support your growth.

When hearts connect in safe and meaningful ways, recovery becomes stronger.

Thank you God for the many blessings you place at my feet.

We recently welcomed Casey and Pat from the Iredell County EMS Community Response Support Team to Carolina Center for Recovery | Charlotte Detox.

Pat is a CCR alumni, and seeing him give back alongside community partners is always a powerful reminder of what recovery makes possible.💙
It was also special to see Casey reconnect with our Clinical Director, Randy, as old relationships came full circle through recovery work.
